A health care professional who will be placed in civil hospital LUMHS Hyderabad to implement best MNCH clinical practices, work as an active clinical member of the care giver team.
General responsibilities:
• To work in accordance with LUHMS protocols and guidelines as a member of LUHMS clinical care team
• To motivate and sensitize the hospital staff (including all) for evidence-based and respectful clinical care, including infection prevention through education and role modeling in antenatal OPD, postnatal OPD, labor room, gynae OT, and postnatal ward.
• To maintain the hygienic needs of antenatal & postnatal OPDs, Labour room, gynae OT and postnatal ward.
• To motivate and sensitize the other hospital staff to provide respectful care mainly in antenatal & postnatal OPDs, Labour room, gynae OT and postnatal ward.
• To perform on job coaching of hospital staff (including all)
• To ensure the infection prevention equipment and supplies in antenatal & postnatal OPDs, Labour room, gynae OT and postnatal ward.
• To ensure emergency and essential supplies and medicines in antenatal and postnatal OPDs, labour room, gynae OT, and postnatal ward.
• To ensure patient’s safety and privacy in antenatal & postnatal OPDs, Labour room, gynae OT and postnatal ward
• To establish an infection prevention team of health care professionals who are willing to champion the cause voluntarily and continue implementation at LUHMS

Develops and maintains effective relationships with district head quarter hospital and midwifery school
Develops supportive relationships with trainee community midwives (CMWs) and prioritizes effective transfer of current best practices to them.
Ensure clinical practices of trainee midwives and provide hands-on midwifery training to CMW trainee in the clinical sites
Monitors and coaches CMW trainee and assess their competency levels, identifies areas that need improvement, and make plan and support to get the required competency
Models respectful, woman-centered maternity care.
Participates in relevant updates on new technical knowledge and approaches within MCHIP/Pakistan.
Meets regularly with to midwifery school to report students’ progress Work closely with MCHIP district technical team
