Summary
As an International Communications for Development (C4D) Specialist, Ahmad continues to explore the power of design, communications, and storytelling to create compelling products using proven techniques of traditional and contemporary communications such as behavior change, mass media awareness, interpersonal, digital communications, event management, and advocacy, as well as to build and maintain close coordination with stakeholders, partners, and donors.

Ahmad has managed and supervised program communications in the social development and humanitarian sectors for the past 17 years, as well as for various corporate industry firsts. He has experience developing strategic program communication to improve program outlook and impacts in a variety of ways, including the development of program information and communications material, publications, research studies, media engagements, information and knowledge hub management, documentation, and reporting through collaborative and coordinated approaches among teams, partners, and stakeholders.

Summary of Key Functions

Led the National Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) Campaign on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). My core responsibilities were started from developing the idea of a programme to bring improvement in the behaviours of communities specifically those who are in vulnerable situations and to change knowledge and attitudes of those who are in authority to make initiatives for development of policies and allocate budgets for safe drinking water, improved sanitation and better hygiene – WASH services in the country that contributed to save lives of children, mothers and many others and to improve the health and well-being of communities nationwide.
