Key responsibilities included
Daily Site visits to monitor the site activities.
• Stop an unsafe act or condition and reporting to HSE Manager.
• Participating in weekly HSE walk down
• Accident / incident investigations and reporting.
• Awareness training to workers
• Conducting hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Conducting work place safety tours and inspections.
• Ensure all the welfare facilities are in place.
• Conducting campaigns, events and tool box talks prior to the work.
• Attend pre job planning and client meetings as required on HSE related matters.
• Supervision of construction work of GASCO Buildings, Valve stations, Substation, Pipelines etc.
• Preparation of daily, weekly & monthly progress report
• Ensure work is executed in a safe manner meeting legal guidelines set out in health safety and requirements and environmental compliance.
• Manage site activities to ensure work is completed on time
• Programme works, ensuring effective and efficient utilization of the resources
• Implement and monitor health and safety, quality and environment requirements and standards.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and developing a complete understanding of all specifications and standards that need to be met
• Calculation of Bill of Quantities for various construction materials
• Development of a skill matrix so that the right man is placed on the right job
• Survey for establishment of benchmark etc.
• Quality control, Quantity surveyor, Estimator
