FINANCIAL STATEMENTS REPORTING
Finalized complete sets of financial statements as per requirements of international financial reporting standards (IFRSs) and other applicable laws.

FINANCE ACCOUNTS PRACTICES
Preparation and presentation of complete set of financial statements.
Reconciliations of all types including banks, debtors creditors.
Completed and verified fixed assets register including depreciation, revaluation, and impairment and deferred taxes.
Computation of normal and deferred taxation as per IFRS and applicable tax laws.
Computation and verification of post-employment benefit plans as per IFRS and applicable laws.
Valuation of inventory including work in process, finished goods and raw materials.
Detailed scrutiny and verification of all types of transactions including sales (local exports), purchases (local imports), payments and expenses.
Banks funded non-funded facilities including leases, letters of credits (L/Cs) and workings of related mark-up and corresponding securities.
MIS reporting.
BUDGETING VARIANCE ANALYSIS
Well-informed knowledge of budgets variance analysis including following
Master Budgets including cash flow budgets.
Functional Budgets.
Understanding Identification of cost behavior.
Variance analysis both for fix flexible budgets and responsibility accounting.
STOCK TAKES INVENTORY CONTROL
Planned, supervised and executed annual and interim stock takes of different sectors including retail, manufacturing, oil and gas and hospitality.
Monitoring and verification of inbound and outbound logistics and warehouse management.
Under the overall supervision of GM Finance, I have the following duties and responsibilities:
•Scrutinize and review all transactions of the Authority and recommend payments, etc. after verifying that are in compliance with the applicable laws, regulations and contract provisions.
•Analyze expenditures and revenues and give suitable suggestions and proposals in financial planning and other accounting fears.
•Resolve accounting problems by carrying out essential inquiry and setting up more well-organized auditing system.
•Verify that adequate internal controls are designed and properly implemented.
•Ensure that the Authoritys assets are safeguarded and there is no financial irregularity.
•Check that proper accounting records are maintained for all transactions made.
•Coordinate with Government and external auditors.
•Assist in preparation of annotated replies/management responses to audit observations for presentation before relevant audit committees/authorities.
•Improve internal control processes for different functions of the Authority i.e. Finance, Operations and HR & Admin.
Financial Responsibilities
•Assist in developing and updating the strategic plan.
•Develop a budget in line with the approved work plan
•Oversee the financial operations
•Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations
•Develop financial policies, procedures and systems to meet organization objectives.
•Develop financial KPIs to be monitored for decision making.
•Prepare budget variance analysis at regular intervals.
•Initiate the process of bank accounts and change of signatories.
•Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends
•Liaison with department managers on financial issues impacting departmental and organization budgets.
•Provide financial inputs for proposal development, project management, logistics, travel
•Assist operations team in carrying out appraisals of investment proposals.
•Manage contractual arrangements and payments of vendors.
Accounting Responsibilities
•Ensuring maintenance of books of accounts and record keeping in compliance with the regulatory/accounting framework.
•Review of entering financial information and maintaining all financial records
•Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for all transactions.
•Design the chart of accounts
•Oversee monthly/quarterly financial closing.
•Liaison and facilitate with Tax advisors. audits and take remedial actions when required.
•Prepare financial statements
System Management
•Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
•Meeting PEADs legal obligations

•Ensure that all major financial (or other) commitments are covered by a legal written agreement.

Funds Management
•Forecast cash flow position and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements

•Monitor the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the close of the fiscal year.

Planning & Review Planning

Project management from the planning stage to audit completion. This includes planning, budgeting, managing and supervising staff and coordinating with the engagement manager and partner.
Deliver assurance service on time and to budget, and monitor variances.
Identify efficiency improvements and additional billings.
Analyzing the external and internal business environment. Assessing the business risks, ensuring adequate business risk management activities and compliance to policies and procedures.
Analyzing the financial results and ensuring that the results are in accordance with the Companys activities and events occurring during the year.
Effective management of audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters.
Advising clients on various accounting and related matters and providing them assistance in the preparation of financial statements in the light of IFRS.
Leading and management of fieldwork on clients, liaising with other departments to ensure smooth delivery of the audit process.
Coordinating, motivating and training the audit engagement team.
Responsible for effectively delegating tasks, providing guidance to staff, allocation of work, review and monitoring performance of the team on the engagement.
Review work done by juniors/subordinates for sign off by Manager/Senior Manager.
