the benefit of easy access to the communities,
community gatekeepers, and decision makers.
 To implement this project, conducted some research
in the community and with nutrition cells at the
provincial level.
 collected information, the proposed project is an
already ongoing research project designed as a
randomized control trial and process evaluation.
 The research project is under implementation in
District Pishin and Quetta. From the terms of
reference, 1256 pregnant women in their first
trimester are already enrolled in the program, and
these eligible women are from the catchment
population of selected lady health workers in two
districts. The remaining 920 will be identified and
enrolled. The two arms of the study, a control group,
and an intervention group will be followed
throughout 1000 days from the day of conception of
eligible pregnant women
 .  Nutrition Cell will be providing nutrition
supplements which will be provided to the
intervention arm during follow-up visits whereas the
control group will be followed up regularly without
any food supplement support.
 Therefore, in order to continue RCT research and for
conducting process evaluation, was preferred to
engage the existing staff who are already trained, and
who have built a rapport in the community.
 The currentstaff are well aware of identifiedpregnant
women, and their geographic locations, have a good
understanding of community behaviors and might
have established close workingrelationships with the
community. However, will provide full support in
managing the working relationship with the nutrition
cell at the provincial level. Further, to also facilitate
existing staff in countering any issue local to the
community.
 We can bridge the gaps between existing staff and
come to the monitor for confidence building, for
facilitation at referral points (nearest hospital) if and
when required.
 Ideally, four field teams are highly relevant for
identifying, enrolling, for following up with existing
enrolled cases in both control and intervention
groups the team comprised of one male and female
will be supported by a monitoring assistant/officer.
Field such fields were facilitated by teams in each
district under the overall guidance of district the
coordinator.
 A professional with extensive experience of
conducting research will provide overall technical
support to the staff.
 To were work in consultation with senior staff from
the project and will provide grants management
support.
 Taking responsibility for uninterrupted progress at
the research work. Ten organizations will submit
 Reports on enrolments and follow-ups, reports on
process evaluation as defined already in the ToRs.
