概要

As a passionate and experienced leader in food security, livelihoods, disaster risk reduction/management, poverty graduation, climate change, policy advocacy, and program management, I had over 13 years of extensive experience in non-governmental organizations, parliamentary settings, and intergovernmental agencies. My strategic thinking skills enabled me to effectively develop programs and projects based on the Country Strategic Plan and area needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

I successfully designed and prepared concept notes and proposals for various program interventions, identifying sources of funding for both new and existing programs. My expertise in coordinating all aspects of program implementation included providing technical support and supervision while developing effective operational, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting plans.

Throughout my career, I ensured that programs were implemented in a consultative, participative, and gender-sensitive manner, meeting Islamic Relief Worldwide Quality Standards and international Codes of Conduct. I produced high-quality reports that were submitted to MEAL and the country office within agreed deadlines, contributing to transparency and accountability.

I actively engaged in regular field visits to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs under implementation in field offices, facilitating continuous learning and improvement.

I led the program team in developing annual and other regular reviews, including business plans, to ensure strategic alignment and effectiveness. My role as a representative involved liaising with key stakeholders, including community leaders, local authorities, government bodies, UN agencies, donors, and representatives of international and national NGOs, to foster collaboration and support for program objectives.

By working closely with the Area Program Manager, I diversified funding sources through the development of existing and new relationships with local donors. My commitment to building and strengthening relationships with IR partners, INGOs, UN agencies, institutional donors, and relevant government departments was instrumental in advancing our advocacy and program goals.

I ensured regular and effective communication within the Area, Field, and country office, promoting a collaborative environment. Additionally, I participated in determining organizational policies regarding participant eligibility, program requirements, and project benefits.

My facilitation skills were utilized in conducting seminars, conferences, and interviews for IR promotion purposes, where I effectively spoke to community groups to explain and interpret the agency's purposes, programs, and policies. I also highlighted impact through reports and case studies, ensuring that the successes of our initiatives were well-documented and communicated.

I was committed to continuous improvement and was always ready to perform any other official assignments as directed by my supervisor, ensuring that I contributed effectively to the organization's mission.

Publications: My research article, “Unravelling the Climate-Water Nexus and Seeking Sustainable Solutions,” highlighted the water-related crises facing Pakistan and revealed key policy inconsistencies, contributing to the national discourse on water resource management. I led a research project titled “Increased Impacts of Climate Change on Water Resources and Livelihoods”. In this role, I developed the Terms of Reference (TORs) and assisted consultants throughout the articulation and publication. I also led the development of Terms of Reference (TORs) and conducted research on “Water Quality Survey in Bagh”, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, in collaboration with PCRWR. I have also expertise in anticipatory action and my publication on https://www.anticipation-hub.org/news/strengthening-locally-led-anticipatory-action-in-pakistan

Leadership in Climate Action, Gender Equality, and Sustainable Development: I have consistently led impactful advocacy campaigns, influencing policy and driving significant change in areas such as climate change, domestic violence, and girls' education.  Engaging parliamentarians, religious leaders, and key stakeholders, I have championed climate-resilient policies that promote gender equality and sustainable development. I have moderated and hosted over 200 high-level consultations, seminars, and symposiums covering critical issues such as climate change, food security, livelihoods, WASH, youth and gender justice, and women’s empowerment.

Program Development & Execution:  With strong skills in financial planning, budgeting, and proposal development, I have played an important role in securing funding for high-impact programs.

My meticulous financial oversight has ensured adherence to donor regulations, enabling the successful implementation of projects that address both humanitarian and development needs.

Strategic Partnerships & Collaboration: I have established strategic partnerships with the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) through Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs).

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to creating positive, sustainable change in humanitarian response, climate resilience, and gender equality. My expertise in managing complex projects, leading advocacy efforts, and forging strategic partnerships positions me as a valuable asset in advancing impactful, community-focused development initiatives.
