· Responsible for smooth implementation of all on-going WaterAid Pakistan emergency response projects focused on WASH being implemented across Pakistan, ensuring activities as per agreed project plans and contract agreements with the implementing partners, Ensure timely and efficient spending of the allocated budgets
·  Lead the development of new project proposals for emergency response and post-emergency recovery projects and provide support and mentoring to the implementing partners in developing, designing, and implementing project activities
·  Ensure that the project outputs including hardware and software components are delivered according to the agreed organizational programme quality standards

·  Conduct regular monitoring and support visits to project sites and communities to ensure smooth progress.

·  Conduct regular project review meetings with the implementing partner and WAP programme team, preparing quality and timely reporting of the project activities for donors and WaterAid

·  Ensure adherence to WaterAid organizational policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.

·  Ensures all agreed administrative and financial procedures are followed and maintained by implementing partners, Capture and document project successes, case studies and lessons learned

·  Ensure that gender, social inclusion, WaterAid minimum standards and other relevant standards are well understood and are implemented in the projects, and support in the design and delivery of advocacy, communications and influencing outcomes of the flood response
. Represent WaterAid, Liaise and coordinate with the relevant national, provincial and district level government departments/agencies, forums/events/meetings including Technical Working Group meetings and other project stakeholders for the successful implementation of the emergency response project activities
 

Under this role I am responsible for responsible leading on development of emergency response strategies and response designing, planning and designing of projects and devising implementation strategies, provide technical inputs on tools for assessment, partners selection and capacity building plans development of the potential organizations working in disaster prone areas. Designed the six Health, WASH and Livelihoods projects in the highly affected areas of COVID-19, developed the Project Implementation and community engagement strategy to work in the COVID-19 affected communities, remote monitoring of project and activities. Due to restrictions on movement the online training modules were developed for the newly approved projects staff to ensure and adhere donor compliance.

·      Lead on coordination and liaison with Government offices, UN agencies, various I/NGOs and local partners and facilitation of donor’s delegates and stakeholders
·      Manage all programmatic, financial, administrative and logistical responsibilities for all program activities and ensure compliance with RAPID fund /OFDA standards and operating modalities. Managed, supervised, supported, appraised and set yearly objectives of the staff reporting to this position

·      Supported team in development of grants for 22 million USD from USAID/OFDA for multi-sector interventions with focus on cash based intervention, Nutrition, WASH, Shelter, coordination

·      Appraised 300 grants application, selected, monitored, evaluated, supported and built capacity of 52 sub granted projects of 35 partners I/NGOs for complex emergency, conflict affected IDPs, drought, flood and earthquake response

·      Managed grants worth 15 million USD with the support of 35 local and international organizations across the country, and in conflict affected FATA region (returnees / post-conflict response), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (displaced people), Balochistan and Sindh drought affected communities

·      Assigned special task of donor reporting and capacity building activities for one dedicated year. Developed weekly update system, complaint response mechanism and sub-grantee orientation/induction modules for the approved grants using versatile training approaches, introducing innovative ideas and feedback mechanism system

·      Being in Assurance role, worked on behalf of senior user in product based planning, reporting on exceptions, assist in in review of Project / PRINCE2 requirements, review stage documents, plans and update issue registers, and collect lesson learns for each assigned projects, Moreover, facilitated two sessions on response learning and endorse action plan for upcoming RAPID fund emergency response.

·      Took lead in the management of multi-sectoral humanitarian response as Program Manager/Projects Manager in two flood affected regions of Pakistan under the framework for emergency response in accordance with Care International standards.
·      Managed and supervised team of 6 sectors specialist and 2 consultants, local contractors and business community to strengthen local markets.

·      Managed and led the implementation of Food Security and Livelihoods integrated projects on Livelihoods (CFW/Kitchen Gardening), Cash based Shelter and WASH intervention, DRR and social protection projects worth 12 million USD funded by AusAid (Health Centers Reconstruction), ADH (WASH and Livelihoods), BMZ and CIDA (Livelihoods), Australian Appeal and PEFSA (Livelihoods), with the support of four implementing partners with the approach of semi-implementation model

·      Worked closely with Program development and quality unit and finance to develop quality and realistic proposals and led the team in project design for Care as partnering in the consortium of ECAHO under the umbrella of Pakistan Emergency food security alliance and represented CARE International Pakistan in consortium at provincial level coordination meetings, Clusters and Forums, and coordinated with Govt and private sector stakeholders.

·      Coordinated with technical advisers, management and relevant support functions to ensure effective program design and implementation through best practice and improvement of administrative procedures within all field offices, adherence and compliance with donor requirements, Save the Children standard Policy & Procedure, Project SOPs and internal controls in lieu of decentralization operational framework

·      Ensured timely submission of weekly, monthly and need-based reports of all support functions, both internal and external

·      Ensured adherence with donor compliance in procurements, financial requirements and timely initiating the tenders, RFQs and small level procurements and supplies, supervised 15 tender process including construction of 62 schools and 10 health centers, developed SoPs for security and livelihoods interventions, developed emergency evacuation plan for 250 staff and liaison with security agencies for real-time information and quick response under the non-state actors threats

·      Worked as Acting Field Program Manager for 3 months and District Manager for 1.5 months and led 310 staff including program and operations teams i.e. Administration, Logistics, Finance, Grants, HR, Security, MEAL and Communication & Liaison.

·      Worked as Program Officer and was responsible for the program design and quality aspect of projects in Sindh Province of Pakistan.
·      Wrote 2 bi-annual program reports of northern Sindh program, 8 project end reports, 2 rapid need assessment reports for humanitarian projects in response to floods, a detailed need assessment report & 2 need assessment reports for development projects

·      Conducted trainings for staff on Concept Note, Proposal and Report Writing, Social Mobilization, Post Distribution Monitoring and End Evaluations, LEAP (Learning through evaluation with accountability and planning), established feedback and suggestion system, and improved accountability environment with ‘’we’’ feeling.

·      Besides this, successfully secured funding for 4 projects funded by UNICEF, ECHO and DEC for WASH, Livelihoods and protection worth 5 million USD. Represented WV in all clusters, government-led general coordination meetings and joint assessment and task force teams lead by UNOCHA.

·      Worked as Program Officer at National Level and took lead on developing proposals, donor and head office reporting and monitoring the implementation of Muslim Aid’s country WASH program.
·      Successfully secured funding and implemented one year DFID project on WASH recovery needs of conflict affected communities, 04 UNICEF and Pakistan Humanitarian Pooled Fund projects for the displaced communities of conflict affected areas in the IDPs camps, host communities and after repatriation to origin.

·      In addition, our team completed the rehabilitation of 40 Water supply schemes for 2005 Earthquake affected communities, Installed 350 Hand Pumps and Pressure Pumps in drought affected areas funded by Qatar Charity, Muslim Aid (HQ) and private donors.

·      Identified, selected, monitored, evaluated, supported and built capacity of 15 implementing partners/NGOs for implementation of seasonal projects (Ramzan, Qurbani etc) on yearly basis.

·         Wrote 3 annual WASH and Seasonal program reports, 5 project end reports, 5 rapid need assessment reports for humanitarian projects in response to IDPs affected by conflict
Conducted training for staff on Social Mobilization, Health and Hygiene, F Diagram, integrated projects design and inducting inexperienced staff.
