Working in Halcrow Pakistan as a Construction Engineer on the SBEP (Sindh Basic Education Program) in partnership with Govt. of Sindh funded by USAID, which include construction of 120 Schools in 8 Districts (Having Covered area 31150 Sq. Ft Ground plus first Floor Structure) affected by catastrophic 2010 floods.
Following are the Job Responsibilities:-
To supervise/monitor concrete works, foundation works, surveying works, inside and outside building finishing works (plaster, color, wood work etc) and External Development work from layout of building till the handover phase.
Acting as main Technical adviser on a construction site for contractors.
Checking Plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of work.
Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specification.
Ensure work is completed to specification and quality required, on time and within budget.
Review contractor technical submittals and drawings and coordinate with discipline engineers where needed, and ensure reviewed drawings area available to all parties. Coordinate with Contract Supervisors to assure the required technical submittal are obtained from contractors. Supervise quantity take-offs.
Participate in initial inspection and prepare “punch lists”. Participate in the preparation of technical features of Field Change Requests and Change Orders.
Monitor contractor inspection and quality control programs, review contractors’ monthly invoices, drawings and O&M manual, review and monitor as-builds.
Assists contractors in development of safety culture.
Guide and Support technical requirements derivation.
Managing, supervising and visiting contractors on site and advising on civil engineering issues.
Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues and architects, contractors, contracting civil engineers, co-workers and clients
To give advice in the planning, co-ordination and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects.
Ensure Project’s Milestone are Met. Prepare daily and weekly logs.
Review all construction material testing and evaluate testing results.
Solving technical issues, providing advice, management and preparing reports.
Review work performance and project status updates on weekly basis.

Analyzing drawings, determining the scope of work and verifying materials needed for execution of site activities.
Provide input into the scheduling of projects to meet the client’s required deadline and maintain construction resources to acceptable levels.
Ensuring, providing technical supervision in the project.
Procurement of materials as per specification mentioned in estimates and drawings
Supervising and leading concrete works, foundation works, surveying works, inside and outside building finishing works (plaster, color, wood work etc)
Complete required task daily :- Purchase orders, work orders, RCC daily paper work & collecting team members and sub contractors daily job reports.
Monitor progress to ensure scheduling milestones are understood and are being met.
Coordinate between the project team member and sub contractor to resolve field discrepancies in design packages and material delays.
Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects & engineers) including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
Ensure equipment and manpower resources are being used efficiently.
Managing budget and cost control of all project related activities.
Review work performance and project status updates on weekly basis.
Submit daily and weekly report to the management and client.

Worked in PPHI Sindh as a Regional Engineer on two projects
1.Construction of Three Medicine ware houses (for storage of medicine including Cold storage room) along with office administration block in District Thatta, Badin and Khairpur Consisting of ground plus mezzanine floor having area around 7150 Sq Ft
2.Construction and Repair & Renovation of BHUs, Government Dispensaries, Residential Bungalow and quarters in interior sindh of two regions Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas which includes 11 districts.
Following were the job responsibilities:-
To Preparation of feasibility reports of site along with plan, prepare &review estimates for all building, civil, sewerage, and electrical facilities.
To monitor the contractors work in order to ensure the construction activities are performed in accordance to its quality standards.
To supervise concrete works, foundation works, roof pouring, Masonry work, inside and outside building finishing works (plaster, color, wood work etc)
To give the layout of new site as per drawing and also duties related to check the layout of site as per plan and frame work.
Monitoring the progress of the projects at different stages of its development.
To interact management, consultants, construction contractors, site supervisors, suppliers etc for execution of activities on time.
To ensure the quality standards are adhered, to extracting drawings and material requirement.
To look after and overall responsibilities for all civil activities from planning till completion.
To execute the work at site as per drawing and specification provided by the consultants
To give the instructions to the contractor and team members (site engineers) at site for proper execution of the work mentioned in the approved technical sanction.
To prepare the Measurement Book in respect of the undertaken works and finalize the scheme by preparation of completion report and deviation form as per approved quantity and as per executed quantities.
To prepare weekly as well as monthly physical and financial reports of various projects at different stages.

Following were the Job responsibilities:-
Setting out the works in accordance with drawing and specification.
Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
Checking materials and work in progress for compliance with the specified requirements.
To prepare record drawings, technical reports and site dairy.
To supervise construction work form layout to finishing work including foundation works, masonry work, frame work, plaster work pouring works color work drainage works electric works etc complete.
To ensure that concrete mixing is according to the specification, all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
Extracting requirement of material from drawings and making arrangement of material at site through procurement and to arrange skilled and non skilled labor for execution of work.
To prepare bar bending schedule (Steel works).
Day to day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractor.
Preparing daily and weekly reports as per requirement to keep management update about the work.
