The Chipper unit producing the end product of polyester chips was designed to produce 90 Tons/day of Polyester Chips according to specifications by the customer instead they were producing 45-55 Tons/day of Polyester chips.
I was supposed to locate the cause of this Inefficiency and I had to propose a solution to the shift Engineer.
Conducted research on the Literature of the unit in the Plant Library and focused attention on troubleshooting procedures and working conditions of the unit installed.
Several Solutions to the problem were researched and presented to the shift engineer in order to increase the efficiency of the process and the capacity of the chippers.
This was a great learning experience as it allowed me to communicate and coordinate among the different departments of the Plant to devise a solution in order to increase the efficiency.
