Field operation activities , planning , implementation and monitoring of TB project

Main responsibilities included planning, implementation and reporting on all program activities. Development of performance frameworks, M&E plans, reporting formats, review of monthly and quarterly reports, coordination and feedback from Principal -Recipients, Sub-Recipients, MIS supervision, performance assessment and field monitoring visits.  Leading M&E Officers team, addressing the donor, funding agents, partner, and Senior Management data queries and requirements, facilitation of Donor, funding agents, OIG and stake holder’s visits were also included in the routine activities. Close monitoring of MIS data, usage of MIS data, identification of Data gaps and suggestion to program and Data teams for improvement of the data and programmatic Quality, making performance analysis by covering Qualitative and Quantitate were also the part of activities
Key Achievements:

Development of Monitoring & Evaluation Plans, frame work for Global Fund Grants in 2018, 2019 and 2020
Development of program component-wise data collection tools and monitoring checklists.
Submission of Progress Updates to Global Fund in 2018,2019 and 2020 timely and efficiently including Management letters responses.
Development and implementation of operational performance work research surveys, studies and situational assessments in selected districts of Punjab and Khy

Main responsibilities included to assist Manager M&E and Coordinator in routine M&E activities, Data collection validation, verification and timely submission. Implementation of M&E plans in the context of project requirements, development of performance-based presentations for providing inputs to management to make further decisions, Support in performance evaluation and appraisal of all activities were also included in routine responsibilities. Monitoring / Supervision and evaluation of activities at field, desk and operation levels. Report Writing and Capacity Building of Staff for Monitoring/Supervision and Evaluation of Implementing Partners were also included in routine M&E activities.

Submission of successful analysis and reviews for tracking the program activities.
Designed M&E formats and tools for effective Data validation and progress update submission
Promoted as Coordinator, a team lead position in Monitoring and Evaluation.
Participated in the launching of Data and Program Mobile app

Key Deliverables:

 To manage, supervise and analyze the online data of DHIS2 Surveillance system.
Prepare consolidated data reports of Districts/Provinces & Produce statistical analyses for periodic and ad hoc TB reports
Consolidate the Quarterly TB data for presentation in Quarterly Inter Provincial Meeting
Validate the TB data in Intra district meeting during the monitoring visits
Submitted Data Reports to Health Planning, Systems Strengthening and Information Analysis Unit (HPSIU), Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination (M/o NHSR&C) and Pakistan Bureau of Statistics Islamabad on quarterly basis.

Monitoring the field operations staff from the central level and field visit of the following intervention district’s;

o   GB ( Ghizer)
o   Baluchistan (Jhalmaghsi)

Preparing the monitoring plan with review of each field officer and supervisor performance.
Data management at central level including daily reporting the status of online data transfer to PI
Monitoring and reporting on implementation of project field activities work plans, electronic data entry, identifications of childhood TB managing sites and cases through GIS and field visit.
Responsible to make action plans in case of problems in field operations

o    Rawalpindi (12 Field Officers)
o    Lahore (20 field Officers)
o    Faisalabad (15 Field Officers)

Handling GPS and Mobile application issues
To coordinate with district team of NTP for effective project implementation.
Monitoring and reporting on implementation of project field activities work plans, electronic data entry, identifications of index cases through GIS and reports.
Oracle/SQL data handling and reporting

Key Achievements:

Research report was successfully published at NTP website result: total of 783,043 contacts were screened for tuberculosis: 23,741(3.0%) presumptive TB patients were identified of whom, 4710 (19.8%) all forms and 4,084(17.2%) bacteriologically

Key Deliverables:

 Provide support to Research Coordinator in collecting, organizing, summarizing and interpreting data for ongoing research project
Monitoring the field operations from the central level;
Evaluate consistency of TB patient’s data
Develop and maintain tabulate research data
Preparing data reports in SPSS/STATA/Excel for further data analysis
Special task on Pakistan TB Prevalence Survey (2nd Largest survey) data validation with International Consultant


To find, correct system missing/incorrect PINS and to trace and remove duplicates
To merge all forms/registers of one cluster (horizontal by adding VARs) and to merge all clusters.
To validate the final merged data file (for extremes and trends between clusters).
Perform validation of double-entered data files and to correct data entry mistakes;

Key Deliverables:

U/C wise mapping of the public non-NTP and private non-NTP health facilities of the district including private labs, homeopathic clinics, quacks, and hakeems.
Identify gaps and help non-NTP health facility workers during filling the forms.
Field visits to these non-NTP health facilities and data collections twice a week in each health facility.
Coordinate with DTCs for registration of the diagnosed cases at district level.

 Appreciation certificate was awarded by the National TB Control Program for Capture Recapture Research Project conducted under World Health Organization (WHO)
