RA as Java Developer
I worked as Research Associate in ICT R& D Funded Project "Enhancing the Scope of Pakistan Science Abstracts (PSA) to Improve Research Infrastructure in Pakistan". The project was developed for PASTIC which is Government organization responsible for collecting research literature of Pakistan and publish it every year.
The objective of project was to automate workflow of PASTIC with system having efficient storage and searching capabilities. PASTIC collects data of journals, conference papers, articles and books and publish it after classifying them in ten different fields.
After literature review dspace was customized according to their requirements. Dspace is open source institutional repository having robust, stable and relaiable architecture including nested database,dublin core, Apache Lucene for faster search, different discovery features, workflows, security polices etc.
