 Responsible for developing a strategy to grow end to end business of commercial banking segment. Initially by generating business transactional volumes from existing assets relationship and in the second phase to bring in new to bank accounts and to cross sell lending requirements on a need basis.
Achievements:
• To implement this strategy successfully through team leaders and relationship managers, targets were allocated on a country wide basis with regular monitoring in terms of number of accounts and volumes.
• The monitoring strategy introduced healthy competition amongst all the relationship managers across Pakistan, enabling commercial banking to grow its books by 9 billion to 57 billion over a period of 7 years.
• Collection Mandates were structured and implemented across Pakistan bringing in large volumes of business in CASA. Customers like DHA CITY Lahore, DHA City Karachi a collection project generating volumes of PKR 10.5 billion locally and PKR 400 million through international remittance MT-103. Eden Housing Limited was another project with collection volume to the tune of PKR 1 billion. Collection Mandates of K & N Group was also structured and implemented on a country wide basis resulting in generating over a billion rupees in current account.
• New products were introduced / developed to further market the remaining volumes by introducing Electronic Online Waiver of Charges & Cash Pick Services. This also improved generation of hard core current account.
• Represented the Internet Banking Module for business customers from Commercial banking
• Team building Sessions were organized to share experiences to gauge and understand the changing market requirement with its demographics.

Key responsibilities:
I managed a team for generating low cost of deposit for the Commercial Center in line to the incremental business targets as signed facilitating the unit’s target for profit generation. The business requirement included market / wallet sizing strategies with a focus on lucrative businesses / industry growth from time to time.
Achievements:
• A strategy was developed to understand the type of industry working in SITE Industrial Area and these companies were further segregated to the type of business they were operating under.
• A Relationship Manager was assigned a task to understand the cash flow cycle and the operations of the industry. The relationship manager mastered that industry and targeted all businesses operating in that industry to market their operating accounts. Like in the confectionery industry, we managed to market Ashraf Products, B.P Industry etc. On the Steel Industry side, we managed to bring in Dada Steel, Majeed Steel, etc. Furthermore, we rejuvenated some dormant businesses of OEM part manufacturer and operating accounts of associations like SITE Associations and their affiliates. Some new to bank relationship on the pharmaceutical industry was brought on board like, BSN Medical, etc.,
• All the above strategy resulted in growth of liability book of the unit from PKR 215 million to PKR 512 million entailing a proportion of 65 % CASA and 35% Term Deposit.
