I’m the resident Intrapreneur currently serving as Manager Data Analytics & Training at Netkom technologies in Pakistan.
Netkom is a global telecom service provider having 15 + years of service history with major market players, corporations, government institutes - 1500+ employees within Pakistan and sub offices in ME (Dubai, Oman, SA, Bahrain) and (Slough)UK. At Netkom, we have initiated an Ed-tech based start up focusing on empowering people through life-long learning interventions which I believe is the only silver bullet solution that can transform the self as well as the masses and can have reverberating effects across all sections of the modern human life.
Previously, I have served as Program Manager at Center for Global innovators (CGI), Islamabad, Pakistan which has been a key player in establishing an entrepreneurship ecosystem in Pakistan. We partnered up with Cranfield School of Management, UK to design & deliver sustainable Social, Creative and Inclusive Incubation Programs at major Pakistani universities (under prestigious British Council’s Developing Inclusive and Creative Economies (DICE) collaboration grant of 85,000 GBP). At CGI, It’s been a delight to mentor young incubates in defining their professional development goals and train them in team work and collaboration, presenting ideas and communicating with colleagues.
In addition, I also hold consultancy experience as a Pedagogy Consultant for United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for the Project USPCASE (US Pakistan Centers for Advanced Studies in Energy) at Pakistan’s primer university, National University of Science and Technology (NUST). In this regard, I was trained in advanced instructional methods (AIM) techniques by Arizona State University staff under Lead trainer Dr. Peter Rillero (Associate professor of science education at Arizona State University) and was tasked to assess and report on instructional methodologies employed by the faculty in their classrooms. I was also involved in formal training, perception management and mentoring of around thirty faculty members of the center with regards to Advanced Instructional methods (AIM) techniques in the context of STEM education using the Socrative software.
Previously, I have served in academia at both public and private sector engineering universities in Pakistan for more than seven years where I have served as focal person for industrial and academic linkages (facilitated both staff and student mobility for a full semester to Uludag University, Turkey; managed student placements at international companies/Pakistani defense industry). Team lead, Committee on Outcome Based Education (OBE) which entailed designing student course and program learning outcomes (CLO’s and PLO’s). I also helped design and implemented assessment strategies and policies (rubrics, charts, Performa’s) with consultation of the departmental head.
I also hold international experience of studying and working in a research based university i-e The University of Manchester, UK where I was enrolled as a graduate student and received formal training to serve as a teaching assistant/lab demonstrator on a number of post graduate modules. My IELTS score was 7.5 back in 2008 but my English language skills have progressed to native level during my stay in UK.
I believe my very relevant industrial experience and international exposure make me a perfect fit for this opportunity and would love to become a part of the community at your esteemed organization.
