Christina Brown UC Berkeley’s PhD scholar and LUMS Professor Tahir Andrabi from the Center for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP) conducted a study in partnership with Beaconhouse School Systems to understand motivation in teachers, school heads and other school employees. The research study is funded by DfID and part of CERP’s broader mission to understand the education system in Pakistan. The results of the study will be used to inform the appraisal system at Beaconhouse Schools, impacting 15,000 employees and will contribute to the literature on how best to incentivize and retain great teachers
