A) Afghan refugee and Emergency Response and Rehabilitation (8.5 million EUR)
In my role as Senior Program Officer, I have led the ECHO-funded \\\"Integrated Humanitarian Assistance for Vulnerable Afghan Refugees and Emergency Affected Population (I-HAVE)\\\" project in Balochistan and Sindh, managing a portfolio worth 8.5 million EUR. I oversee the program from the country office, managing two direct reportees and coordinating closely with field teams and downstream partners to ensure timely project execution and adherence to donor regulations. My responsibilities include drafting high-quality monthly and interim reports using the E-single form, preplanning resource mobilization, and overseeing financial aspects in line with organizational and donor policies. I spearheaded the procurement of in-kind goods worth 2 million EUR, coordinating with the supply chain department and supporting downstream partners in the distribution process. I played a key role in designing new proposals and budget files, securing additional funding that increased the grant value from 3.5 to 8.5 million EUR. Additionally, I maintain the project dashboard, draft budgets for donor reporting, and consolidate project documents to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. I provide technical support and capacity development to downstream partners across education, protection, health, livelihoods, WASH, and shelter components. Working closely with the finance and partnerships team, I maintained I closed the project with above 95% burn rate, attributed to my effective coordination skills and timely budget realignments. As the focal point at the country level, I coordinate project meetings, represent the team at various events, and keep the team lead informed about project progress. I ensure efficient communication with field teams and government stakeholders, including the education department and the Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees (CAR), to sustain project outcomes. I conduct on-site visits, collaborate with the MEAL team on monitoring findings, and update action trackers to ensure follow-ups. My efforts have enhanced disaster preparedness and response capacities, ultimately contributing to the well-being and prosperity of refugees and flood-affected communities.
Development Projects (9.2 Million GBP)
I have demonstrated my commitment to improving education access and mainstreamed out of school children into formal schools in the remote districts of Balochistan as part of the TEACH (Teach and Educate Adolescent Girls with Community Help) Project as part of the LNGB initiative funded by FCDO. As a Program officer, I oversaw the management, implementation, and monitoring of this education project. I ensured and coordinated the efficient utilization of resources in close communication with downstream partners and liaised with government stakeholders, ensuring continued efforts at sustaining education initiatives in Balochistan. I compiled essential data and generated comprehensive reports for both internal and external stakeholders, managed and drafted budgets along with timely budget realignments and financial reporting on donor templates. I worked closely with partners in project review and planning meetings, on workplans, micro implementation plans, and aligned their spending plans with detailed implementation plans. I facilitated and coordinated national-level stakeholder engagement events sensitizing key stakeholders such as the Social Welfare Department, JICA, BEAC, NIBAF, and the World Bank to promote sustained investment in girls\\\\\\\' education. I developed content for visibility and designed the digital campaign for awareness on education through radio programming in marginalized areas of Balochistan. Additionally, I delivered training to formal schoolteachers, equipping them with play-based techniques to foster a conducive learning environment that promotes reading proficiency among students.
B) AWWAZ II -Project
I contributed to the effective monitoring and evaluation of the AAWAZ II project. I honed my report writing skills by producing comprehensive and accurate reports on project activities, outcomes, and impact. My role involved conducting field visits to gather primary data for reports and surveys, providing valuable input for periodic progress reports that highlighted key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement. I created and maintained a weekly schedule to ensure alignment and coordination among key partners involved in the projects. Additionally, I performed data entry in the AMAR databases, accurately recording program and operational indicators to support data analysis and reporting. I also assisted in workshops and events by taking meeting minutes, capturing important discussions, decisions, and action points for future reference and follow-up.
