Around 10 years of professional experience in CMAM Nutrition program.Master in Health care and hospital Management from Jinnah Sindh medical university karachi along with Master in Sociology , BSC in Nursing. Technical expertise in nutrition and strategy development, developing and delivering nutrition sensitive and nutrition specific interventions targeted at infant and young child, adolescent and maternal nutrition. Technical expertise in designing and delivering capacity building programs and IEC material in different thematic areas of nutrition including nutrition in emergencies, gender and nutrition, and early childhood care and development. Well aware how to develop liaison with District health authorities, and other Health related department along with other IPs./p/body/html
1. Monitor implementation of Nutrition Program• Ensure the CMAM and IYCF Programs implemented in the field offices as per the project proposal and Project Work Plan• Give technical and programmatic guidance for all staffs at the field offices• Ensure all the components of the project activities are carried out as per national guideline and with high quality standard.• Guide field staffs to timely prepare weekly and monthly plan towards accomplishing Conduct regular monitoring visit to OTP sites at Union council and also to villages’ to assess the implementation status of projects activities towards achieving the project objectives in an efficient way• Use the necessary monitoring/supervision tools in order to accomplish the nutrition activities in standardized way Organize periodic review meetings at district level and provide feedback to district nutrition teams regarding program implementation2. Staff capacity building• Organize and conduct orientation workshops and trainings for nutrition staffs and other auxiliary staffs• Provide technical and programmatic guidance for all nutrition staffs at field offices through regular supportive supervision and coaching3. Administration and Financial Management• Monitor the nutrition program budget of field offices on regular basis and report on the expenditure status to Project Manager on regular basis• Work closely with Adm/HR,Finance and Project Manager to ensure that Admin, HR and Finance related activities are carried out as per PPHI Sindh policies and procedures• Ensure that all staffs are at their work place and performing their duties responsibly during working hours4. Logistic and procurement• Work closely with Provisional Manager and Logistic to ensure all procurement of goods is adhering to PPHI SIndh procurement policies and procedures.• Make timely requisition and ensure timely arrival of supplies and monitor distribution to the field offices and OTP sites
Working As a District Monitoring Officer at District Umerkot To Imlpement the CMAM program integration With MNCH, Primary Health Care and Other Sector to Reduce Morbidity and Mortility Ratio Through IYCF Practices. • Responsible to ensure the effective implementation of all nutrition activities at district level, specifically treatment of acute malnutrition through CMAM and IYCF . • Manage and Implement the strategies envisaged in all vertical programs at district level covering operational activities. • Responsible to conduct training needs assessment and develop capacity development plan ( when required) • Conduct competency- based training (refresher when required) for government staff and stakeholder as per standard protocols • Responsible for knowledge management through routine monitoring visits to Nutrition sites(health Facilities) /team Responsible for technical support at district level to all relevant staff • Manage health and Nutrition teams at base level and Provide technical support to improve team performance at health facility/nutrition site and community level in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, Responsible for maintaining strong relationship with key stakeholders, represent PPHI in external and internal forums and sharing timely updates/feedback internally and externally • Develop narrative and statistical reports with programmatic and financial analysis at district level and sharing with head office. Provide necessary inputs, data analysis to Health & Nutrition Specialists for Donor quarterly/annual report, when required • Responsible for supplies calculation as per need and manage project supply chain system to ensure efficient stock management • Joint programme planning with government stakeholder for CMAM & IYCF and different health projects and other district specific interventions • Responsible to provide feedback and suggestions/options for improved service delivery and integrated efforts/initiatives.
•Plan and organize OTP at designated distribution sites in liaison with PM/
• Work closely with OTP staffs to ensure all aspects of the programme are understood and agreed and appropriate referrals take place to and from the OTP.
•Prepare plan of action for effective OTP implementation in consultation with the PM
•Supervise the activities of the OTP team (community mobilizers, community nutrition workers).
•Work closely with the teams to ensure all children are measured correctly
•Ensure all criteria are respected and understood by the teams, including admission, discharge and transfer to and from the OTP
•Ensure adequate availability of all medical and food supplies and ensure stock is pre-positioned as planned by discussing with logistics
•Ensure cases not meeting admission criteria return home as early as possible and understand why their child is not admitted
•Development of fact sheets and other training materials as required for the MOH health staffs under the guidance of PM.
•Provide key health and education messages to beneficiaries based the protocol and guidelines
•Respond to inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the program admission and discharge when ever necessary at the OTP sites.
•Support implementation of quality MEAL.
•Participate in the weekly coordination meetings, or other ad hoc internal meetings as requested.
•Encourage compliance with the Charter and the fight against fraud, corruption and abuse of power; alert the Field Coordinator and / or Country Director in the event of fraud, corruption or abuse of power.
•Manage recruitment of new staff as required.
•Oversee cash distributions ensuring that internal and external guidelines are ensured;
•Providing MOH staffs with technical support in convening meetings and answering questions on topics relevant to the project as necessary.
•Follow-up and ensure the field team interacts with the beneficiaries properly
