• Assuming charge as Hostel Warden while residing full-time at PTMISC’s Hostel.
  • Allocating duties and responsibilities to the administrative staff under your control.
  • Admitting new residents after verification of hostel dues.
  • Ensuring quality & quantity of food served to the hostel residents.
  • Ensuring discipline and cleanliness at the hostel.
  • Maintaining list and record of hostel residents.
  • Managing Petty cash expenses of the hostel.
  • Submitting monthly utility bills to the Finance Department.
  • Being responsible for the health, hygiene and general welfare of the students residing in the hostel
  • Attending to all matters of health, sickness, diet, sanitation, and cleanliness both for student and hostel.
  • Ensuring that students observe the rules framed for their guidance and maintenance of decorum.
  • Keeping in liaison with the security officer, ensuring security of the students in and around the halls of residence and ensuring that hostel gates are closed at instructed hours.
  • Visiting the students at any time in their rooms for their welfare and safety.
  • Supervising the maintenance of the hostel facilities provided and planning for upgrading and maintenance of these facilities in the halls of residence.
  • Arbitrating and /or mediating between student disputes thus ensuring good order and behaviour is maintained in the hostels
  • Being available for “on call – duty” whenever require, which provides emergency cover in the evenings and weekends.
  • Assisting the Campus Director with the admission of new students in the hostel
  • Addressing grievances and complaints from students
  • Providing relevant information about the students whenever it is required.
  • Taking part in implementation fire drills, crime prevention and health & safety awareness initiatives
  • Responding to on-site emergencies (burst pipes, broken windows, burglaries, locked out of rooms etc.)
  • Organizing recreational or other activities for students.
  • Planning and preparing the study material and monitor the schedule in coordination with the campus management.
  • Being responsible for informing to the parents of the students; related to study, health, and fitness.
  • Following the timings assigned by the management.
  • Maintaining accurate records and writing reports to help to identify trends that may require action.
  • Coordinating with the management for framing policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Performing any other responsibility or task assigned by the management.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Management/Supervisor.
