- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure that billing and financial data is accurate and up-to-date
- Analyze and report on billing and financial data to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement processes to improve the billing and collections process
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the billing process
- Manage a team of billing specialists, including training and performance evaluations
- Oversee the insurance billing process for the organization, including working with insurance companies to ensure that claims are processed accurately and efficiently
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims with insurance companies and other payers
- Review and process medical claims using appropriate coding and billing systems
- Resolve billing discrepancies and errors in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date on insurance company billing policies and procedures
