The Financial Accountant with VAT Experience will responsible for managing the client's financial records, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and handling all VAT-related activities. This role involves overseeing daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations, and supporting financial planning and analysis activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and payroll.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.
Ensure compliance with IAS and IFRS
Oversee and ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing processes.
Coordinate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation.
Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and support decision-making.
Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations.
Ensure timely payment of VAT and manage all related documentation.
Conduct regular VAT audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
Provide advice on VAT planning and tax-efficient strategies.
Keep up-to-date with changes in VAT laws and regulations.
Respond to VAT inquiries and manage any disputes or appeals.
Prepare reports on VAT matters for management review.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure all transactions are VAT-compliant.

Qualifications:

Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or UAE CA is must.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting, with specific experience in VAT.
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and regulations.
Knowledge of Corporate Tax and Financial accounting standard will be a great edge
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
