1. Financial Management:

    • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, invoices, and payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Monitor cash flow, budgetary compliance, and financial performance indicators to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  2. Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
    • Generate regular financial reports for management review, highlighting key trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities for the completion of statutory audits and compliance requirements.
  3. Taxation and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, filing requirements, and reporting deadlines for income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.
    • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations relevant to the real estate industry and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
    • Liaise with tax advisors and government authorities as necessary to resolve tax-related issues and inquiries.
  4. Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections in collaboration with senior management and department heads.
    • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost optimization and revenue enhancement strategies.
  5. Financial Analysis and Decision Support:

    • Conduct financial analysis, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses to support investment decisions, project evaluations, and business expansion initiatives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations for improving operational efficiency and profitability.
  6. Team Leadership and Development:

    • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure their professional growth and development.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the accounting team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, preferably within the real estate industry.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation laws applicable to the real estate sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a dynamic environment.
