A Project HSE Manager acts as the focal point for designated project HSE matters. They will provide a HSE support function to project management. The project HSE Manager has a direct reporting line to the project manager and a functional reporting line to the regional HSSE Manager.
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within the Project and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices. All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.
This position is essential for HSE success or failure and is categorized as being of high safety criticality. The jobholder is responsible for evaluating hazards, and potential hazards and resolving problems that could have serious safety implications.
Job Responsibilities:
The core responsibilities of an HSE Manager include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies in accordance with legal and corporate guidelines.
- Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards and developing preventative strategies.
- Organizing safety training for employees to ensure awareness and understanding of safety and environmental practices and legislation.
- Monitoring compliance with policies, performing site inspections, and preparing detailed reports on findings.
- Leading emergency response initiatives and conducting investigations after incidents to establish causes and preventive measures.
- Advising on a range of specialist areas, e.g., fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, occupational diseases, and waste management.
- Maintaining current knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements related to health, safety, and environmental matters that impact the organization.
- Collaborating with internal leadership and external regulatory bodies to maintain compliance standards.

Notice to Proceed was issued to EP Contractor Skodaexport and C Contracor AEPL on December 30, 2005. The Project is based on 2x6FA Gas Turbines from GE in Combined Cycle Mode with Steam Turbine from Skodaexport and HRSGs from Alstom, Czech Republic. Currently Civil Works & Man Camp Construction are ongoing at site.GE has also signed 18 Years O&M Agreement with Orient Power Company (Pvt) Ltd. AEPL is supporting GE as variable Sales Channel.
