We are seeking dedicated and skilled Medical Officers to join our esteemed team at Ahmed General Hospital. The successful candidates will primarily focus on providing excellent care in the fields of Pediatrics and Gynecology/Obstetrics. The positions require handling evening and night shifts, during which they will be responsible for managing medical emergencies that walk in the door. As independent decision-makers, successful candidates will also supervise the medical staff during evening and night shifts when senior consultants may not be available.

Job Responsibilities include:

1. Provide exceptional medical care to patients in the Pediatrics and Gynecology/Obstetrics departments.

2. Manage evening and night shifts efficiently, ensuring prompt and accurate diagnosis, treatment, and care for patients.

3. Independently make clinical decisions and supervise medical staff during evening and night shifts.

4. Handle medical emergencies and stabilize patients in critical conditions.

5. Monitor and manage admissions and retentions in ER, PICU and NICU under the supervision of consultants.

6. Assist during various surgeries and procedures.

7. Possess thorough knowledge of trade names, generic names, and pharmaceutical products from well-known companies, as well as surgical items and consumables required in various surgeries and general medical emergencies.

8. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.

9. Maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment for patients, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.

10. Benefit from working under the guidance and supervision of highly experienced senior consultants who possess years of expertise.

11. Actively participate in continuous learning and professional development opportunities.

The requirements from suitable candidates are:

1. Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.

2. Valid medical license and registration with the relevant medical council.

3. Fresh or slightly experienced doctors with less than 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.

4. Strong passion for providing high-quality patient care and a keen interest in pediatric and gynecological/obstetric medicine.

5. Excellent clinical skills and the ability to make independent decisions in emergency situations.

6. Proficiency in trade names, generic names, and pharmaceutical products from reputable companies, as well as surgical items and consumables.

7. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

8. Flexibility to work evening and night shifts, which may include weekends and public holidays.
