Assistant Manager Audit and Taxation

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager - Audit and Taxation to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the Audit and Tax Manager in various functions to ensure financial statements' accuracy, compliance, and transparency. This role is pivotal in providing strategic guidance to clients on tax matters, optimizing their tax strategies, and ensuring adherence to relevant tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Audit and Tax Manager as and when required.
Support in ensuring financial statements' accuracy, compliance, and transparency.
Assist in audit planning, execution, and reporting for external audits.
Collaborate with the audit team to perform risk assessments and evaluate internal controls.
Assist in preparing and reviewing financial reports for accuracy and regulation compliance.
Play a key role in preparing and submitting tax returns and related documentation.
Provide strategic guidance to clients on tax matters, helping them optimize their tax strategies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and legislation.
Assist in tax planning and advisory services for clients.
Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to provide up-to-date advice.
Support in identifying areas for process improvement and implementing best practices in audit and taxation functions.
Assist in the preparation of audit and tax reports for senior management and clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification (CA - Finalist, ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in audit and taxation.
Strong knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
