We need a new Social Media Specialist This is a remote (work from home) position.
We're looking for a Social Media Specialist who has a keen eye for trends, particularly in the realm of American Hip-Hop culture, and can make the most of them on Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook. This person should stay updated with news and be able to post regularly on Instagram and Twitter. They will use their creativity and understanding of social engagement to create posts that attract attention and encourage followers to engage, ultimately growing our account's following. Basic Photoshop skills are needed to maintain visual consistency and to create eye-catching content. As they gain experience, they'll take on more responsibility, leading a team, providing guidance, and ensuring the quality of our social media presence. This job requires a mix of trend-spotting, creativity, technical ability, and understanding of what makes people engage with content. The ideal candidate is someone who loves Hip-Hop, is great at communicating in English, and can eventually lead a team to create a strong, engaging social media presence.

Photoshop: Experience with Photoshop (or other photo editor), being able to create posts with texts and graphics that are eye catching.
Premiere Pro (Or Capcut): Experience with a video editing software to create engaging short form content for vertical format, reels, tik toks, etc. Also the knowledge and ability to take the most engaging parts of interviews we conduct and turn them into viral reels and shorts.
Deconstruct & Replicate: You will be able to analyze the techniques of successful competitors within the American hip-hop scene, dissect their methods, and apply them to our own strategy in a unique and authentic way. This requires a deep understanding of different post types, captions, and engagement tactics used by these competitors. However, rather than simply copying these tactics, the successful candidate should be able to transform and adapt them, aligning them with our company values. This skill requires a critical and analytical mind, creativity, and a strong understanding of our brand identity and target audience. It's about learning from the best, and then doing it even better.
Strong English Proficiency: We want someone who is not only proficient in English but also understands a good amount of American culture, humor, and rhetoric. Movies, sports, and American music should be something you are obsessed with. Communication is important in our organization and English is how we communicate.
Researching: The ideal editor is one that is constantly trying to learn better and more efficient ways to improve at his craft. You should constantly be seeking new information and learning from the best editors in the world and how you can best improve. There are many new tools constantly being introduced such as different AI tools and you should not only be excited for these new tools but you should be on the cutting edge of your craft.
