We are seeking an experienced Import / Export Manager to oversee and manage the entire logistics and shipping process, ensuring timely and efficient distribution of goods globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all import and export operations, including shipping documentation, customs clearance, and transportation logistics.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with international clients, suppliers, and freight forwarders.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export/import laws, and customs procedures.
- Coordinate with internal departments like sales, production, and warehousing to ensure the smooth flow of goods.
- Analyze shipping options and optimize costs while ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor and handle all documentation, such as bills of lading, invoices, certificates of origin, and inspection certificates.
- Prepare and review monthly reports on the import/export performance.
- Keep up-to-date with changing regulations, tariffs, and industry standards.
- Manage and resolve any disputes related to shipments, delays, or transportation issues.
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers and freight forwarders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs processes, and trade compliance.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in English
