The academic Coordinator is an inaugural senior academic personnel in the ‘Academic Management Cadre / Group’ and (s)he reports to the concerned campus head.
As a line manager of concerned teaching staff, the “Academic Coordinator” is held responsible for the following:
1. Campus round for checking of floors/classes, and duty placements of concerned cleaning staff before morning bell/arrival of students on a daily basis.
2. Checking of assembly presentations/schedule, and ensuring maximum participation of students.
3. Random checking of students’ uniforms to overcome discrepancies and campus rounds soon after assembly completion.
4. Checking of manual attendance register of teaching staff and student’s attendance on daily basis.
5. To manage teachers’ duty roaster and arrangement of substitutions/ replacements/ fixture periods of absent teachers.
6. To manage routine staff workload, timetable, and period bell timings, maintaining the stationary list.
7. To ensure on-time the presence of teachers after switching over the periods and a peaceful study environment within the classroom/campus.
8. Checking of coordination pads and planner of teachers.
9. To arrange/conduct students’ admission tests and demos of candidates for teaching positions.
10. Random checking of diaries of students and checking of notebooks/copies (min. 20 on a daily basis).
11. Maintenance of counter-checking registers, and submission of logs to concerned campus head.
12. To conduct coordination meetings with the school head and timely reporting of issues/daily matters to the school administration.
13. Arrangement and preparation of school events/activities/students’ trips side by side along with studies.
14. Checking of duties of the examination department (i.e making syllabuses, paper, proofreading, rechecking etc).
15. Academic evaluation of teaching staff and checking of student’s performance files.
16. Circulation of Office orders, checking of distribution of student fee vouchers, and getting follow-up of fee defaulters.
17. Parental & staff interaction to resolve day-to-day matters.
18. Training of new teachers and providing them all required material (worksheet/notes etc.).
19. Making and recording maintenance of papers, curriculum planners, syllabus and resource packs.
20. Updation/endorsement of students’ mark sheets and allocation of subjects to teaching staff through the ‘E-Examination Module’.
21. Any other duty assigned by the school administration / Management.
