We are looking for a skilled and motivated Business Development Executive to join our team on a freelance basis through Upwork. As a Business Development Executive, your primary responsibility will be to acquire new clients and projects for our organization by effectively bidding on Upwork.

Responsibilities:

Bid Management:

  • Identify relevant projects on Upwork that align with our organization's expertise and services.
  • Craft compelling and tailored proposals in response to project requirements, demonstrating a clear understanding of the client's needs.
  • Create professional and persuasive bid documents, highlighting our organization's unique value proposition and capabilities.
  • Ensure timely submission of bids, adhering to Upwork guidelines and deadlines.

Client Communication:

  • Engage in proactive and professional communication with clients to clarify project details, understand their goals, and address any concerns.
  • Conduct meetings or calls with potential clients to discuss project requirements, gather additional information, and build rapport.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to develop project strategies, pricing, and timelines that meet the client's objectives.

Relationship Building:

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients through regular follow-ups, updates, and exceptional customer service.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling our organization's services to existing clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities.

Proposal and Presentation Development:

  • Collaborate with the internal team to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing materials that effectively showcase our organization's capabilities and expertise.
  • Ensure that all proposals and presentations are professional, visually appealing, and tailored to meet the specific needs of the client.

Market Research:

  • Conduct research to identify potential target markets, industries, and clients that align with our organization's services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to identify new business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a Business Development Executive or similar role, with experience in bidding and winning projects on Upwork.
  • Strong understanding of the Upwork platform, its processes, and best practices for bidding and client acquisition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and engage in professional client interactions.
  • Sound knowledge of business development strategies, market research techniques, and sales processes.
  • Ability to work independently and meet targets within tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using project management and productivity tools.
  • Prior experience in the IT, software development, or related industries is a plus.
