Nature of your job is contractual and temporary and you could be removed from this role with or without notice
You will report to the Coordinator of the SV-5 Security Committee (The Coordinator) for all your responsibilities and the Backup Coordinator of the same SV-5 Security Committee in the absence of the Coordinator.
In case of need, the Convener of The SV-5 Residents Interim General Council can also give you direct instructions related to SV-5 security matters.
Your duty timings will be from 9:00 AM t 7:00 PM daily, six days a week. No other holidays
If any resident interferes in your work or tried to give you instructions about security duties, please report the matter immediately to your supervisor, the committee, and/or the convener
You will not seek and accept any charity, money, clothing, donations, financial support, cash, etc. directly from any resident. This will be treated as interference in the working of security staff and may attract disciplinary action
If any resident wishes to support security staff in any way, they may contact the committee or the convener for this purpose
You will do surveillance of the entire SV-5, all 24 blocks, during your duty hours from inside and outside through frequent patrolling
You will closely monitor all the access points of SV-5 through all four access gates and any possible trespassing by climbing the boundary wall from any side
You will be required to do patrolling of the area within and from outside and report any leaking pipes, sewage overflow, unauthorized construction and dumping of construction material and rubble, damage to property, trees cutting, boundary wall damage, street lights not working, suspicions persons or activity to the Coordinator and/or record in the Security Report Log Book with date and time of reporting
You will be required to defend and safeguard the SV-5, its residents, and the properties of residents by strong and visible presence to prevent graffiti, damage, theft, personal injury, and other criminal acts
You will be required to act quickly in case of emergencies like burglaries, theft, trespassing, fire, or any other law and order situation within and immediate surroundings of SV-5 by contacting and reporting the emergency to Police, Police Emergency 15, Rangers, Fire Brigade, DHA Security, through the Coordinator and/or the Convener of the Council
You will always remain active, alert, and vigilant and sense, smell, identify and report any crisis, suspicious, or criminal activity within and immediate surroundings of SV-5.
You will closely monitor the traffic situation on Main Seaview Road. In case of a traffic Jam, blockade, disruption, etc. on the Main Road or Service roads, report the situation immediately to the Security Committee and/or the convener for urgent permission to open the back door. When the situation is normal the closing of the back door and re-opening of the front door
Security Committee and/or the convener are required to immediately share a brief text message in the WhatsApp Group on the opening and closing of the back gate and re-opening of the front gate
Your sense should be alerted when someone is attempting to divert you from your job. And most importantly, you should be able to accurately interpret whatever you see, and do this quickly.
You are required to call for help when needed in certain dangerous situations like an assault with a deadly weapon, armed robbery, or forced and unauthorized entry in SV-5 by any outsider, forced and unauthorized intrusion, by reporting the matter immediately and calling for help
As a Security Supervisor, you are required to follow the instruction, orders, SOPs, Security Circulars, Security Manual, or any revenant guidance
To maintain order and to avoid stampeded in the situation of any social activity or event within SV-5 by remaining alert and vigilant
At times you also be required to perform additional duties like distribution of Information Circulars, Collection of Monthly Dues, Helping residents in emergencies, keeping eyes on kids and toddlers within and near the entry/existing points
You are required to be in good physical shape, take care of your body, and maintain your fitness. This will help you to encounter any possible threat with strength and force
You are required to be a good communicator as you will daily meet a lot of people during your duty time and may ask you questions and information about the area of your responsibilities
You are required to keep a close eye on the CCTV System and ensure it’s working round the clock by physically checking daily. In case of malfunction or non-working of the CCTV System, report the matter immediately to the Coordinator and also note down the issue with the date & time in Security Report Log Book
You are required to report to duty place at least 15 minutes before the start of duty time
You are expected to always react with kindness and be nice to people all the time
In case of an incident, keep yourself cool and calm, and don’t lose your temper or self-control
Always be respectful with a friendly and positive attitude
You will be required to train and educate all the security guards under your direct reporting and control and any newly joined security guard in the team
You are expected to submit the End of Duty Report daily in the Security Report Log Book
The Security Guards will be entrusted with several security-related equipment like torches, sticks, etc. and it is expected that you will also take proper care of all the provided equipment
In case of a traffic jam at the entry/existing point or nearby, you will be required to manage the traffic and ensure that traffic flow is maintained smoothly all the times
You will be required to keep a close watch on the maximum speed limit of all vehicles (Cars, Motorcycles, etc.) maximum of 20 KPH and report any overspending instances in Security Report Log Book by mentioning the name of the driver (if possible), Car Registration Number, Address, etc.
Nonresidents/visitors with large Pet dogs will not be allowed to carry and keep such pets inside the SV-5
All the Security Guards will report to you and you will be responsible for the duty roster, monitoring of duty timings, attendance, unauthorized absence from duty, controlling, coaching, guiding, educating, etc. The security guards
You will be required to ensure that the following minimum four Registers and Log Books must be properly and nearly maintained at the Check Post and also ensure their safe custody at all the times

Security Guards and Security Supervisor Attendance Register
Security Report Log Book
Visitors & Vehicles Log Book
Inward & Outward Mail Register
Any other registers or logbooks required to be maintained in the future

You will be required to ensure the safekeeping of the SV-5 Droop Box at the Check Post and will check and deliver all the letters, suggestions, and communications to the Convener of the Council
The Committee and the Council and/or its convener may advise you to attend additional training for the acquisition and/or improvement of skills
Non-compliance to these JD instructions and violation of other rules, regulations, and laws will attract disciplinary action including warning, reprimand, suspension, removal from service, legal action, etc.
These JDs are inclusive and not exhaustive and could be amended as and when needed
