Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Account & Finance Officer Tax Payable located in Karachi. The role involves handling and managing tax payments, helping with tax planning, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. The Account Executive Tax Payable will also be responsible for preparing and submitting tax reports and working closely with the finance team to ensure all taxes are accurately recorded and reported.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for timely recording of liabilities and preparation of RN
Maintain organized and accurate records of all tax-related transactions, including invoices, receipts, and documentation supporting tax deductions and credits.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operations teams, to ensure alignment on tax-related matters and facilitate cross-functional initiatives.
Ensure vendor qualification with reference to FBR and SBR rules and regulations
Ensure mapping of Vendor chart of account with vendor profile
Checking of liability recorded and ensuring completeness of information required in liability vouchers provided by assistants
Checking the correctness of payments processed and adjustment of previous outstanding advances
Co-ordination with Procurement & Other Departments for adjustment of outstanding advances paid to vendors and ensures recording the same electronically and manually
Ensure deduction of taxes as per FBR and SBR rules
Ensure copying and filing of data for record-keeping purposes
Ensure completeness of the Advance adjustment report
Responsible for intimation to the Finance department in order to hold payment or call back of Remittance notes
Reconciliation of vendors’ ledger as and when required and coordinate with vendors via phone and e-mail to resolve any/all discrepancies
Timely recording of Liabilities of GST Grocery Purchases
Ensure compliance of all HSE, HACCP, ISO 22000 / 9001 & OHSAS 18001 related guidelines related to his area of responsibility

Skills

Knowledge Regarding FBR SRB Tax portals
Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations
Knowledge of finance and accounting principles
Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel

Qualifications:

Bachelor's BBA, MBA, ACCA, CMA, CPA or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in tax Payable or related roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
