To develop and coordinate components of SPO’s Communication strategy. Lead all internal and external communication channels on behalf of SPO.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analysis and reports on programme and project progress to determine learning experiences designed to help individuals and communities improve their reproductive health by increasing their knowledge or influencing their attitudes, to find appropriate mix of interpersonal, group and mass-media communication channels conducive to behavior change.
  • Helps create and document knowledge about practices and trends in communication for positive SRH outcomes, by analyzing programmes, projects, strategies, approaches and ongoing experience for lessons learned, and best practices, and shares with staff to feedback in planning future strategies.
  • Manage all proactive and reactive media relations, including developing strong relationships with national and industry press contacts
  • Seek high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media for all events/initiatives of SPO project.
  • Develop good quality and meaningful content for social media, Radio, and TV that allows the dissemination of SPO’s message to the desired target audience;
  • Ensure all key stakeholders receive the right information and message through SPO communication channels on a regular basis.
  • Oversees the development of all types of communications to reach media, the public and communities
  • Manage mobile and Windows-based applications, upload messages on social media as per project needs; track record of comments on messages; the number of visitors who view, like, and react to social media messages; and generate a consolidated report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly bases as per donors’ needs and reporting format.
  • Provide support to team members and partners/allies in smooth implementation of projects and developing required skills
  • Ensure proper and quality reporting from team members and meet donor’s reporting         deadlines. Coordination Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate closely with other regional and NC-level program teams regional and NC-level program teams to build synergies and effective programme delivery.
  • Build liaison between relevant field, region and National Centre level
  • In consultation with the supervisor, coordinate project work internal and external level

Human Resource Management:

  • Provide support to team members and partners/allies in smooth implementation of projects and developing required skills
  • Ensure proper and quality reporting from team members and meet donor’s reporting deadlines.

Coordination Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate closely with other programme teams at regional and NC level for building synergies and affective programme delivery.
  • Coordinate closely with Communication specialist to track the progress of the project and incorporate technical input, feedback and suggest for further improvement.

Follow organizational policies and guidelines:

  • Adhere to SPO policies and promote participatory culture and demonstrate SPO’s values
  • Participate in professional development training as identified and approved by SPO
  • Carry out any other activities as assigned by the supervisor
