Senior Laravel Developer

We are seeking a Senior Laravel Developer to lead the full life cycle of our web and SaaS applications. You will oversee architecture, development, deployment, and maintenance—ensuring seamless integration of backend functionalities, front-end frameworks, and infrastructure services. In this role, you’ll also guide junior developers, enforcing best practices and cultivating a collaborative, high-performance environment. You will solely manage projects from start to end as senior lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Web Application Development: Plan, architect, and implement Laravel-based solutions from concept to launch.
• Backend Mastery: Write clean, scalable, and maintainable PHP code with a strong emphasis on OOP and the Laravel framework.
• Front-End Collaboration: Work closely with front-end tools (Vue, React, Blade, Inertia.js, Livewire) to create dynamic and responsive user experiences.
• Database Management: Design and maintain efficient databases using MySQL, and optimize queries with Laravel’s Eloquent ORM.
• Security & Compliance: Implement robust authentication/authorization (roles, policies, gates) and secure coding practices.
• System Integrations: Configure and manage essential services (Redis queues, notifications via email/SMS/in-app, rate limiting, task scheduling).
• Payment Gateways: Integrate payment processing solutions like Stripe and PayPal.
• Infrastructure Oversight: Deploy and maintain applications using DevOps tools (Laravel Forge) and advanced administration dashboards (Laravel Nova).
• Leadership & Mentorship: Manage junior developers, set coding standards, and conduct code reviews to foster a high-quality coding environment.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive Laravel Expertise: Strong track record in building complex web applications using Laravel, including advanced features like caching, queues, and scheduling.
• Proficient in PHP & OOP: In-depth experience with PHP 7/8 and object-oriented programming principles.
• Database & Eloquent ORM: Skilled in designing relational databases, performance tuning, and writing optimized queries.
• Front-End Proficiency: Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and working knowledge of front-end frameworks (Vue or React).
• MVC Architecture: Solid understanding of the MVC pattern and best practices in code structure.
• Security Best Practices: Demonstrated ability to build secure applications, including data protection and user access control.
• Team Management: Proven experience leading small-to-medium development teams, including mentoring and code review.
• Tools & Services: Familiarity with Redis, email service providers, SMS integrations, and cloud environments.
• Payments Integration: Exposure to Stripe, PayPal, or similar payment platforms.
• Additional Pluses: Experience with Laravel Forge, Laravel Nova, and containerization/cloud deployment strategies.
