As an Accounting Bookkeeper working as an outsource employee for a London-based accounting firm, your primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive financial support to our clients by maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our clients while adhering to regulatory compliance and best accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping:
- Record and categorize financial transactions, including invoices, expenses, and receipts.
- Maintain detailed ledgers for clients, ensuring accurate and organized financial data.
Reconciliation:
- Perform regular bank, credit card, and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and rectify errors promptly.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable by processing and scheduling payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Handle accounts receivable by preparing and sending invoices and tracking client payments.
Financial Reporting:
- Generate and deliver financial reports on a regular basis to provide clients with insights into their financial health.
- Prepare reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Tax Compliance:
- Assist in the preparation of tax-related documents, including VAT returns and payroll tax submissions.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
Record Maintenance:
- Maintain organized and well-documented financial records that are easily accessible for audits and financial analysis.
Communication:
- Collaborate with clients and the London-based accounting firm to address financial inquiries and provide support on financial matters.
Software Proficiency:
- Utilize accounting software and tools to efficiently manage financial data and streamline bookkeeping processes.
