ROLE IN THE ORGANIZATION

This role will be based in assigned project district Tharparkar, Sindh with a responsibility to implement the project activities under Kitchen Gardening project. Main task will include project implementation at community level for within available budget, planned resources, and timelines.

MISSIONS AND ACTIVITIES

Develop good understanding of project specific KG interventions.
Understand communities and local cultural sensitives.
Conduct corner meetings with local level stakeholders such as notables/influential persons, community leaders, and imam mosques to gain their support for smooth implementation of the project.
Identify eligible beneficiaries on the basis of designed criteria, update the information through profiling and community-based validation and enroll the validated beneficiaries under KG component.
Responsible to identify KG beneficiaries preferably women headed HHs and fill the formats accordingly.
Responsible to ensure the land preparation and tank foundation before installation.
Responsible to ensure presence of selected beneficiary during installation of KG drip system as supplier/contractor will deliver O&M training during installation.
Responsible to carry out all KG activities from identification, distribution, installation, group formation, trainings and follow-ups.
Responsible to assist M&EC and PSIAC for their visits to KG beneficiaries.
Responsible for building capacities of the KG beneficiaries on Land preparation to post harvesting, Seed Preservation, value addition and marketing skills as per manual.
Educate the beneficiaries on other benefits and services available under INGO’s own programs and/or other projects and facilitate their access.
Learn about how Covid-19 spreads and what measures can be taken to prevent it from spreading further.
Conducted/ organized the training/ awareness session.
Organized the awareness session on health and hygiene.
Having good expertise in data collection in android application.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/BEHAVIOR

Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
At least have 4 Years of experience with NGO/ INGO’son related positions
Good report writing skills
Good inter-personal, coordination and presentation skills.
Fluency in local language.
Cultural sensitive and respect the diversity
Self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Able to deal with people at all levels with tact and diplomacy.
Good Team player and motivated to work in remote and uncertain environment respecting standard operating procedures as devised and instructed.
