Mr. Abdus Samad established Samad Rubber Works (SRW), formerly known as Pakistan Rubber Industries, in 1948. Pakistan Rubber Industries was the first company to set up a state of the art latex foam manufacturing unit and manufacture rubber hoses. In 1962, following a split in the family business, Pak Rubber Industries was incorporated as Samad Rubber Works (Pvt.) Ltd. Samad Rubber Works then entered extensive R&D in rubber and mainly adhesives. It was soon after that SRW launched its first adhesive with the brand name SAMAD BOND101 which went on to become a household name in adhesives in Pakistan. In recent years the company, now in its third generation, has continued to expand and evolve, both through the growth of market share and by diversification into a group of new industries under Samad Group of Industries which includes Apparel Denim, Apparel Outerwear, Foam, Adhesives and Defense..
