Educational Leadership

Implements a high-quality, rigorous, joyful school programs that are consistent with RISC mission and vision.
Sets ambitious school goals for student achievement and performance and holds staff members accountable for achieving results
Develops, oversees, and continual evaluates and improves the school’s instructional model and curriculum.
Models high quality instruction and provides frequent coaching for instructional staff.
Uses data to inform practice and drive decision-making and instruction at the school

Legal compliance

Assures the filing of all legal and regulatory documents and monitors compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Mission, policy and planning

Works with Management to oversee the growth of the school to its full capacity.
Helps the Management determine the school’s vision, overall direction, and short- and long-term goals.
Oversees the charter renewal and site visit process and development of school’s Annual Report.
Develops, implements, and ensures adherence to the school’s accountability plan.
Keeps the Management fully informed on the condition of the school and on all the important factors influencing it.

Management and administration

Creates and sustains an environment of mutual respect, high standards, safety, and support for learning.
Provides general oversight of all school activities, manages the day-to-day operation of the school, and develops a smoothly functioning, efficient organization through coordination with Management, committees, staff and volunteers.
Ensures that the member of management h/she has the necessary resources and expertise to lead the school’s educational program.
Ensures that h/She has all the capabilities to effectively oversee all operational aspects of the school.
Leads recruiting efforts for all staff members. Recommends staffing and financing to the Management. In accordance with Management action, negotiates professional contracts, and sees that appropriate salary structures are developed and maintained.
Evaluates and supervises members of the management team of school and supervises evaluation of all members of the staff.

Governance

Helps the Management establish role and Accountabilities for Management, its committees and members and helps evaluate performance regularly.
With the Management Chair, develops agendas for meetings so that the Management can fulfill all its responsibilities effectively
Develops an annual calendar to address all crucial issues in a timely fashion.
Works with Management officers and committee chairs to: get the best thinking and involvement of each Management member and to stimulate each Management member to give his or her best; and, enable Management committees to function effectively.

Management

is a strong manager of people and can manage inward, outward, upward, and downward
sees the forest daily, and not just the trees
prefers truth and honesty over avoidance and harmony
is willing to give clear, direct, and tough feedback to students, teachers, and families
is willing to make singularly tough decisions
is an excellent judge of talent.

Academic

is aware of 21st century framework.
5 years of experience of dealing academics of high school and university.
Believes that creativity flourishes within a structured academic environment
Believes that high academic and behavioral expectations must be coupled with more time on task 7.understands that academic success is about the 100% solutions
