Accounts Receivable (AR) Assistant will support our project finance team in managing and maintaining the project’s accounts receivable processes. The AR Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely collection of outstanding debts, processing invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling accounts. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for maintaining financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

1)      Invoice Management:

  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure all invoices comply with company policies, customer contracts, and regulatory standards.
  • Regularly monitor and update the accounts receivable ledger to reflect accurate records.

2)      Payment Tracking and Collection:

  • Track incoming payments and record them accurately in the accounting system.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices through phone calls, emails, and written correspondence.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve payment-related issues professionally and efficiently.

3)      Account Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile accounts receivable records with the general ledger to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or irregularities in accounts.
  • Prepare monthly AR aging reports and provide updates to management on collection status and outstanding accounts.

4)      Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all invoices, payments, and customer communications.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries related to accounts receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.

5)      Process Improvement:

  • Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline and improve accounts receivable processes.
  • Support the implementation of new software or systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing or payment disputes effectively.
