• Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects after Review of Drawing plans in detail as per requirement of Senior Quantity Surveyor.
  • Estimate the quantity and costs of materials & Labour, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Assist Senior Quantity Surveyor.
  • Prepare contracts and documents.
  • Set budgets for payments, inventory needs, and materials.
  • Analyze costs for maintenance and additional building needs.
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and quantify required resources.
  • Develop and manage budgets for construction projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and financial constraints.
  • Monitor project costs throughout its lifecycle and provide regular cost reports to stakeholders.
  • Preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities (BOQ), to create competitive bids for contractors.
  • Evaluate and compare tender submissions to ensure they meet project requirements and financial expectations.
  • Implement and maintain cost control procedures to manage expenditures and avoid budget overruns.
  • Identify and analyze variations or changes to the project scope, assessing their impact on costs.
  • Assess and manage risks related to cost factors, providing recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct risk analysis to anticipate potential cost variations and their impact on the project.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.
  • Collaborate with project teams to find cost-effective solutions without sacrificing project objectives.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Take measurements and record data to validate quantities for accurate cost assessments.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to project cost management

Requirements & Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field with 5-7 years of general construction BOQ & estimating experience, financial experience, construction experience, or related field.
  • Proficient in computer skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to analyse financial records and apply data to improve results
  • Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
  • Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets, strong estimating and financial analysis skills.
  • In-depth understanding of construction, materials, pricing, and industry
  • Able to analyse problems and strategize for better solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in construction technology. 
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in cost estimation and quantity surveying.
