Position Overview:

As an Accountant at Power Square, you will play a crucial role in managing financial records, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring compliance with all accounting regulations. This position is ideal for someone detail-oriented, analytical and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update accurate financial records, including ledgers and journals.
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes through financial analysis and reporting.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Assist with tax preparation and filing, and support internal and external audits.
Provide financial analysis to support business decisions and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is a plus.
Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
