As a Manager Consulting (previously Supervisor & before that as an Associate) at UHY Hassan Naeem and Co. Chartered Accountants, for the past seven years, I led the ERP Department of the firm and successfully concluded more than a dozen assignments of ERP implementation (Quickbooks, Oracle & Customised ERP Solution) along with Business Process Reengineering of various clients in real estate, poultry, medical, marketing, hospitality and energy sector. I was also responsible for managing several advisory engagements including transaction advisory, finance department restructuring, fixed assets verification, financial due diligence, etc. During my tenure here, I have particularly specialized in ERP implementation and working out optimal joint venture arrangments in the Real Estate sector.
In addition to my experience in managing advisory and ERP engagements, I was also given the opportunity to manage a business development team with RFPs for new clients in our consulting vertical. I was responsible for selecting the proposal team, developing our presentation strategy, and spearheading post-proposal follow-up efforts.
My earlier experience also includes working with the Back Office of a UAE-based Accounting firm for monthly Bookkeeping of 18 clients on Zoho books which including preparation of financial statements and VAT submission to the Federal Tax Authority of UAE. Before that, I was an Audit and ERP Associate at UHY for three and half years and was engaged in Audits of multiple clients and successfully concluded Annual Audits of 6 clients as a team lead besides spending one and half year as a functional consultant for Customized ERP of UHY.
I am well-versed in a variety of enterprise-level software systems, including Quickbooks, Customised ERP Solutions, and Zoho Books. In an effort to improve management reporting, I pioneered the integration of Power BI with QuickBooks for interactive dashboard reporting features that improved real-time access of financial information to stakeholders. These dashboards were also instrumental in navigating desired performance analysis including project and employee performance etc.

Key Responsibilities:
Managing ERP (Oracle/Quickbooks) implementation assignments by understanding & reengineering business processes (BPR) and aligning them with the ERP/software while keeping in view the management reporting/ operational requirements,
Initiating, managing, and concluding advisory assignments including transaction advisory, restructuring, financial modeling, fixed assets verification, etc.
Advising real estate clients about optimal methods for business development including financial due diligence of the business partner and reviewing partnership/JV agreements,
Reviewing bookkeeping and reporting financial results to stakeholders,
Tax Filing of salaried individual/sole proprietors,
Company registration with SECP and post-registration corporate compliances,

Supervisor Audit and ERP
Key Responsibilities (Audit):
Develop comprehensive audit programs to enable efficient testing of audit assertions,
Review internal control testing along with other audit procedures performed,
Ensuring documentation requirement of ICAP and The Companies Act, 2017,
Supervise and train up to 10 auditors on various engagements,
Prepare reports summarizing audit findings and recommendations; and
Reporting and assisting Engagement Partners.
Key Responsibilities (ERP):
Engage with clients and workshops to define business requirements and conduct gap analysis,
Provided subject matter expertise in Oracle Financials in AR, AP, Expenses, GL, FA, and SCM,
Installation and implementation of AR, AP and GL Modules of QuickBooks,
Prescribed suitable Chart of Accounts Structure for the customer,
Maintaining a system of accounts and keeping records on all company transactions,
Mapped client’s business process to Oracle Financial processes,
Lead client in identifying test scenarios,
Develop test plans, test cases, and data to be used in testing and conducting User Acceptance Test (UAT),
Develop solution design and lead client throughout implementation and support phases; and
Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
Audit and ERP Associate
Key Responsibilities (Audit):
Planning different audit engagements and review engagements in line with ISAs,
Financial reporting as per the requirements of IFRS and The Companies Act,
Understanding the business and identification of risky areas,
Carrying out audit execution of assigned account heads,
Carrying out Tests of Controls and Substantive Audit Procedures,
Reporting and assisting Manager audit and assurance,
Drafting auditors’ reports on audit and review engagements; and
Compliance testing with rules and procedures.
Key Responsibilities (ERP):
Installation and implementation of Inventory, Point of Sale, and GL Modules,
Customization in modules as per clients’ requirements,
Coordinating with IT Manager regarding amendments in modules; and
Post installation support services and bookkeeping advisory.
