Integral member of Senior Management Team, challenged with overall responsibility for ensuring overall management and quality delivery of HOPE’s development and emergency response programs in KP and FATA.
Designed and implemented 61 community infrastructure schemes, installed 150 water tanks for water storage. Provision of 1000 WASH NFIs (Hygiene Kits) and 400 sanitation kits for latrine construction through Cash for Work (CFW) for vulnerable people. Conducted 160 Health and hygiene education sessions covered 4800 individual returnees (800 men, 800 women, 1600 boys and 1600 girls) through CHAST and PHAST approaches whereas 455 awareness sessions on importance of clean water were delivered. Delivered Cash for Work for 80 males in Orakzai Agency, Livestock awareness and Livestock training, Cows for enhancing livelihood opportunities and productivities, agriculture package to 60 farmers, support in Nursery formation, support in afforestation, and Kitchen gardening management training.

Delivered strategic directions to HR involved in the projects, creating and planning schedules, and forecasting the need for engineering resources, as well as conducting quality control over the work done by the technical team.

Due to the floods in 2010-11 in KP and conflict in FATA, initiated multi projects with having technical natures for the recovery and rehabilitation of flood effected and conflict effected communities, A separate unit of Engineering team (Community Infrastructure Development Unit- CID) established under my supervision.
Strategically positioned as a Program Manager CID for managing a civil engineering section consist of Design Engineer, Quantity surveyors, Auto CAD Designers and Field Engineers. The unit was primarily responsible for development of civil engineering plans, drawings, reports, and/or specifications for the Infrastructure projects at community level.
Key Accomplishments
• Beside the specific position of Program Manager CID, I was assign the tasks of Project Manager, Project Engineer and regional focal person for different projects during my tenure with the organization.
• 450 Health and Hygiene awareness education session conducted.
• 750 Hand Pumps rehabilitated

Early Recovery for Flood Affected Population (ERFAP)
Project Manager
• 100 Community infrastructure schemes (street pavement, repair of drainage, and de-silting) were completed.
• Under the crop production activity, 650 farmers were received agricultural inputs (fertilizer, and spraying pumps).
• 766 farmers received Farming toolkits to facilitate farming activities.
• 120 women received hybrid vegetable seed and training in kitchen gardening which helped restored their livelihoods.
• 300 women (mostly widows) received small ruminants (Betal X, 2-3 months’ pregnant goats) under livestock re-stocking activity.
• 21 animal health camps were organized for vaccination and de-worming of over three thousand animals, which were affected by the floods.
• 24 formal groups of Elders formed in to Community Organizations, which helped coordinating timely completion of ERFAP work.
Improving Livelihoods and Infrastructure in Flood Emergency (I-LIFE Phase 1 & 2), Shangla

• Under agriculture development component, dairy and poultry sheds were reconstructed and grain storage structures (47 steel bins) and 400 spray machines were distributed.
• 16 vegetable tunnel structures were installed for growing off seasons vegetables.
Led construction works and helped facilitate in formation and training of water committee with a view of improving accessibility to safe and sustainable water, and enhancing hygiene and sanitation practices in the project area.
Project: Access to basic WASH facilities in schools and communities in flood and conflict affected areas of District Swat

Liaised with all stakeholders in conducting periodic assessment and baseline studies. Analysed context analysis of field realities and operational environment with the view to advocate for maximum stakeholder participation. Solicited innovative ideas of implementing sustainable and appropriate safe water and sanitation solutions. Built collaborative rapport with the community and local authorities and make recommendations on innovative ways that beneficiary communities should adopt for improved management and sustainability of community water and sanitation facilities.

• Coordinated and supervise masonry and concrete construction works at all water and sanitation facilities i.e. Institutional latrines, Household latrines, shallow wells, Water pans, boreholes etc.
• Ensured all the software component (hygiene promotion activities, water transportation & storage facilities distribution etc.) are implemented as per the signed project agreement and the sphere standards.
• Prepared project documentation including bills of quantities, implementation work plans for planned activities, procurement plans and requisitions for required materials to be procured for attention of the immediate supervisor
• Delivered sterling support in formation and training of water and sanitation committees for specific water / sanitation facilities to be developed, Activities implemented by contractors were monitored for quality assurance.
