Socio Economic Impact of QASADO on Local Community of Chitral

<div><p> QASADO started a project with the collaboration of US AID. The name of the project was “improving income of community through preservation of fruit by solar dehydration plant” I worked with a social mobilizer as an intern and met with the different public in the US AID project. The project was related to women empowerment by giving them training on dry fruit, and how to use the solar dehydration power plant and preserve the fruit from damaged. The duration of training was 25 days and each village was given equal 5 days. QASADO also distributed 68 solar power plants which are used by women for drying fruit and also provided a nutcracker machine. The overall budget for that project was more than 90 lakhs Pakistani rupees. The aim of that project was to train the poor women to rightly use their apricot resources by the help dehydration solar panel. Like this they could generate some money for the family, as a result, their quality of life would be enhanced</p></div>
