Coordinating with GE team for the installation, testing and commissioning of Wind Turbines.
• Responsible along with the team for smooth operations of a 150 MW WPP.
• Manage training of new employees and overlook their routine tasks i.e. Daily reports, data analysis & maintenance work.
• Analyzing different Condition Monitoring Systems related to 33/132 KV substation & wind Turbines and reporting accordingly.
• Prediction of possible annual energy yields of GE WTGs (1.7-103) by applying wind modelling & wind resource assessment techniques of Site wind speed data.
• Writing technical reports on various subjects.
• Keeping an oversight on all planned and breakdown activities performed by O&M (GE) and EPC (Hydro China).
• Wind Turbine Losses calculations, planning of Annual, Semi-Annual, maintenance schedules for turbines and substation equipment based on CMS results.
• Responsible for inspecting Corrective, Preventive and Annual Maintenance and reporting accordingly.
• Rectification of faults with Maintenance Dept. of AEPL (Al-Bario Engineering Procurement Limited).
• Daily and Monthly Reports/Analysis, highlighting the Monthly Expected vs Actual Generation, Breakdown Losses, Reasons for losses and remedies to minimize them.
• Data analysis & implementation of efficient operating procedures for increased performance. Use of MATLAB to model and simulate various scenarios/conditions on turbine to analyze functionality or fault possibilities.
• Developed in-house ETAP model and curtailment simulator to identify bottlenecks and weak links in NTDC as well as HESCO grid systems (directly/indirectly affecting WPPs). Recommended HESCO and NTDC on national forums in eliminating these weak links, averting GOP around $9.7 million loss annually in Non-project events lieu and around $5 million loss to WPPs annually.
• Developed indigenous turbine’s blade washing method with team, which is under testing phase, and successful implementation will result in approximately
