Being part of the IOM NFI/ES team, responsible for the  timely provision of Emergency Shelter-NFIs assistance to affacted population of South Sudan. 
Leading overall Cluster Coordination at State level for SNFI Cluster and supporting South Sudan Cash Working Group (CWG) and cash partners as Co. Lead for CWG South Sudan.  
Providing technical support to SNFI Cluster partners in the capacity of Emergency Shelter and NFI (ESNFI) Cluster Technical focal point.
Leading IOM's large scale SNFI operations and capacity building of the team (mobile and static teams), as well as SNFI cluster partners, and stakeholders on SNFI responses and effective programming. 
Contribute to planning and strategy for SNFI cluster and CWGSS.

Responsible to provide technical leadership and quality control in the management, fundraising, implementation, post-distribution monitoring and evaluation of Concern’s NFI/shelter program in South Sudan.

•Manage the implementation ACF's RNE funded DRM project in KPK Province
•Ensure quality and integrity of targeting, implementation, including adherence to technical guidelines, administrative systems, and established deadlines
. Identify and respond to related staff capacity building priorities
•Ensure appropriate design of hardware and select external contractors if necessary. Report directly to the Technical and KPK Field Coordinators all project operations and activities
•Conduct baseline surveys prior to implementation of projects (Technical Assessment, PCVA, HH etc.)
•In coordination with the DRM PM contribute to the development of ACF DRM programming through analysis of opportunities in the sector, concept/proposal development, and contributing to ACF positioning within the sector
•Represent ACF externally and collaborate/coordinate with government authorities, NGOs, local partners and UN agencies and reports any communication with the authorities to the field coordination and WASH/DRM coordinator
•Define program implementation modalities (targeting criteria, mobilization modalities, local partnerships, participant training curricula, monitoring systems, staff schedules, etc.) in coordination with DRM PM
•Increase departmental integration with FSL, WaSH and NUT through integrated assessment, design, implementation and surveillance (including geographic, household, and individual targeting utilizing integrated indicators)
•To manage the human resources of the project teams and build internal capacity
•Ensure that staff responsibilities are clearly defined and understood, with performance objectives set against work plans and regularly monitored.
•To coordinate/manage the project financial, logistics and reporting needs
•Identify, design and develop funding opportunities in the domain of DRR. Build up relationships with donors, and support in ideas/Concept Notes/proposal development

This post aims to To provide technical support and built the capacity of partner organisation staff in the areas of shelter, WASH,Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), ERMS, Logistics Support & Non Food items distribution. To assist Program Manager/Coordinator by providing technical monitoring, reporting and technical input during implementation of projects and technical inputs for new applications/proposals as required.
• Plan and conduct Monitoring and Support visit for sub-grantees at suitable stage of the project (engineering and non-engineering) in consultation with line manager and coordination with PCs and/or PM
• Check the progress, process and quality of outputs and field activities in comparison with approved designs, DIP, Concern-RF standards and approved mechanism of implementation
•Provide technical inputs in appraisal of relevant technical applications focused on designs, drawings, BOQs, Sphere Standards, Costing/ Cost effective, suitability, gaps, contextual analysis of proposed activities and adherence with government and relevant Clusters recommendations and standards
• Plan and conduct Need Validation Visit for potential application using proper assessment tools in consultation with Program Support Unit, RF.
• Provide technical recommendations regarding suitability of the proposed solution
. Work closely with the Concern/partner logistics team to ensure that Concern logistic systems are set up at and adhered to from the outset of Concern’s intervention. (This may include assisting in supplier & supplies selection, etc.)

Being a WASH engineer I was liable for technical feasibility assessments both on community and institutional levels, planning, designing and implementation of schemes in-line with allocated budgets & available resources that best fits to project aims and objectives on ground. Taking lead on contractor’s selection with logistic department, sample verification and ensuring of on-time quality implementation of designed civil works on ground in close coordination with all stakeholders including government departments and community based structures. Leading IRC EH team on Research activities like low cost sanitation options (Latrine Charrettes) etc., edifice project and government staff capacities through trainings and on-job mentoring regarding engineering component of project. Providing technical inputs to other IRC units in designing of affordable and environment friendly structures, DRR and gender mainstreaming inclusion for long term sustainability and increase in acceptability of program at community level, Apart from these, submission of weekly, monthly progress reports, coordination with govt. stakeholders, IRC support and program teams, budget and DIP review are of my routine activities at my current job.
