Assist Director/ Assistant Director Human Resources in formulation of effective policies and procedures regarding recruitment, promotions, transfers, increments, leave, disciplinary action, grievance handling, retirement, registrations, extension, dismissals, attendance and other employee related matters.
Review job specifications and arrange their periodical updating to ensure that they reflect the requirements of the job.
Co-ordinate with departmental heads in identifying training needs in all disciplines within the organization & co-ordinate with Executive Management to arrange for required training facilities, in-house or externally.
Co-ordinate with other departments and sections in analyzing the necessity for creating and abolishing positions.
Develop training policy and submit it for approval of management.
Assist other departments in recruitment against budgeted positions strictly in accordance with defined person specifications.
Manage annual performance review of employees, ensure liaison with other departments for enlisting their active participation in the performance appraisal process, and ensure that the process is completed in an effective manner.
Review and confirm the induction and orientation training to new entrants and ensure that all formalities related to induction and orientation are properly planned and executed according to policy.
Improve staff morale by providing staff welfare facilities and monitor handling of employee complaints and counseling.
Also ensure that sensitivities involved in grievance handling matters are given due consideration by all concerned.
Monitor current and future manpower requirements and arrange for meeting the short term and long term needs for trained, competent, and motivated workforce in the System.
Review salary scales and structure and arrange to conduct periodic salary surveys, to attain internal equity between jobs as well as competitive with the external job environment.
