I am working as Senior Manager Finance in Pakistan’s first and largest IPP. I’m supervising compliance & controls, general accounting, assets management, management & statutory reporting, payables, disbursement and ERP development & improvement functions of Hubco and its group entities (HPSL, HPHL, NEL and TEL). In addition, I am actively involved in Company’s development initiatives including Demerger, O&M takeovers, acquisition & investment in new companies, investment appraisals & reappraisals and development of 1x330 Coal Power Plant at Thar and 2X660 Coal Power Plant at Hub under China Pakistan Economic Corridor Projects (CPEC). I was also supervising taxation, payables, compliance and corporate finance functions of China Power Hub Generation Company Pvt. Ltd (Hubco’s Joint Venture Company).
I have sound knowledge & understanding of various power polices, tariff components, project development phases /activities and was actively involved in the development of 225 MW RFO based power plant at Narowal under 2002 power policy. I was also looking after 84MW hydel project from owners / investor side.
I have advance level financial modelling skills & technical knowledge which helped me to developed, reviewed and analyzed various financial models including development of Hubco’s working capital management model, O&M takeover financial models, Narowal plant valuation model for demerger, listing and spin off. I also performed analytical review of financial models developed for 84MW Hydel Project, 1X330 MW Thar Coal Project and 2X660 MW Imported Coal Project and carried out risk assessment of various tariff components under upfront / cost plus tariff polices (including sensitivity analysis and its financial impact on IRR and financing). Further, I'm also up to date with all development issues being faced by projects under upfront policy and CPEC including Tax issues, PPA / IA clarification, Lenders requirements (both local and foreign), Insurer and EPC issues.
