Being a monitoring and reporting officer in National emergency operations center for Polio Eradication Initiative (PEI) since July 2017, I've worked in a multi-cultural environment where different International organizations are working under one roof at NEOC. I have 04 years of experience working with partners in Humanitarian Sectors. I've worked in various disciplines and accomplished diverse tasks in National polio control room by providing support in data management and data analysis. I have been assigned to various provinces over time as a federal focal person to coordinate with provincial EOCs on multiple SIAs operations and ensure data compliance and quality.
Some of my major contributions were:

• Field visits during pre-campaign to monitor activities, supporting the districts and sub-district level teams for microplanning preparation, quality assessment, training evaluations, and field validation.

• Intra-campaign monitoring of household clusters during NIDs and SNIDs for supervision and monitoring of mobile and fixed teams as well as supervisory staff and UC level medical officers and sharing the identified gaps in ERMs with relevant health authorities.

• LQAS (lots quality assurance sampling) for checking the quality of the campaign on the grass-root level by observing the finger marking of the targeted age group children.

• Data processing and data analysis for coordination and compilation of pre, intra and post campaign NEAP data including all the important programmatic performance indicators.

• Data interpretation and feedback generation on identified gaps from top to bottom level seeking data-driven and evidence-based remedial actions by the relevant District PEI teams and Provincial EOCs in time.

• Participated in main meetings, briefings, and video conferences with the national and international staff held at national EOC level in order to stay updated about current strategies for immunization activities.

• Hands on experience in GIS mapping using a software QGIS including interface, working with vector data, raster data, adding layers, import/export vector data, symbology, labeling.

• Monitor quality trainings of Trainers at provincial and district levels based on training needs during pre-campaign phase.

•   Support in the evaluation mechanisms including data quality and indicators at NEOC.

• Hands on experience on open data kit (ODK) for post campaign evaluation including LQAS as well as monitoring mobile application for training monitoring and intra-campaign clusters./li

• Provided support to program policy implementation through field monitoring and review of policy documents and interpretation of SOPs and recommended potential solutions for specific problematic areas.

• Provided support in the establishment of training calendar for all field operations including SIAs and surveillance activities

• Continuous providing support to provinces on planning and resolving dashboard issues by communicating with the dashboard focal person and executing the plans to bridge the gaps.

• Conduct analysis on zero-dose children after every campaign and share the findings with EPI-PEI synergy team for appropriate actions.

• Participated in Routine Immunization surveys with NEOC MnE team.

• Provide support in different operations i.e IMB meetings, TAG meetings, and NTF meetings.

• Provided support for the Preparation of presentations on daily updates for the ongoing status of campaign during pre intra and post campaign phases for daily morning meeting.

• I have also participated in preparing campaign updates, reports and sharing with polio control room focal person for onward dissemination with provincial and district polio control rooms.

• Sharing of feedback with provincial EOCs to improve data quality and Timeliness.

My work also includes maintaining an accurate record of resources, collaboration with procurement teams related to polio vaccine before the nationwide and sub-immunization campaigns.
