Jannat Khalid is an art educator and visual artist based in Lahore, Pakistan. She has secured an MPhil of Art Education with distinction, a Master's degree in International Relations, a Bachelor’s of Art as well as hands-on teaching and coordination experience approximately 16 years. She has also kept herself involved in research, curriculum development and training programs.
At the moment she is Teaching O’levels at Beaconhouse Liberty campus, visiting faculty for the Mphil art education program at the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design, Lahore and at the Beaconhouse National University, School of Visual Arts and Design, Lahore.
She has accomplished and demonstrated solid creative, instructional and leadership capabilities. Over the past sixteen years, she had the opportunities to manage diverse groups and as a result, she has developed highly-effective techniques and instructional methods, which have allowed her to deal with different styles of individuals and foster a fun and engaging working environment that effectively incorporate critical thinking, problem-solving, innovation, creativity and encourages individuality.

“Lesson Planning”
The objective of the workshop was to give a deep understanding of lesson planning to the K-10 schoolteachers, writing Smart objectives, methodology, learning outcomes, integrated lesson plan, lesson plan using CPA approach and using the environment as a third teacher.
“Individuality & Creative Expression”
The objectives of the workshop were to understand that each human being possesses in a unique set of skills and should be treated/ taught accordingly, each child carries different visual memory that determines his/ her individual creative expression, have a clear understanding of the dynamics of education & the impact a teacher can make.
“Introduction to Visual learning”
The objectives of the workshop were redefining the term “teaching”, developing repo with the students, questioning in the art (dialectic method), reflexive practice, students psyche, use of resources, unconventional art, elicitation, prior knowledge and making real-life connections, group work, pair work and individual tasks and chronological learning.
“Enhanced Visual Learning”
The objectives of the workshop are to understand and utilize the pictorial memory to enhance the learning capabilities, lesson plaining through CPA (concrete pictorial Abstract Approach), the art of thinking, Visual Art as a Learning Tool, developing the cross-curricular links and integrated lessons.
“Hands-on Minds-on”
The objective of the workshop (divided into two sessions) is to introduce the teachers with hands-on experience with the found materials, understand the studio and open spaces, acceptance of the individuality of the work and the students, developing assessment rubrics and art critic.
