Established an exemplary science department rated as Outstanding by Ofsted Inspection December 2019.
Significant progress made on GCSE outcome under my leadership.

August 2017: 35% grade A*-C achieved by outgoing HoD.

August 2019: 47% grade 9-5 and 62.5% grade 9-4.
Department celebrated its second positive trend of outcomes in past 4 years of decline. This was achieved by creating positive team moral, effectiveness of new implemented strategies and newly adopted approach to learning.

Secured a third continuous Outstanding Ofsted Inspection status in December. This is the first school in the country (to-date) to have retained its Outstanding Status since the introduction of new frameworks.
Managing a growing and prosperous department of thirteen professional staff; significantly minimising staff retention; embedding new department policies and ensuring they are adhered to through rigorous monitoring.
Developing SIP and DIP and embedding a network of structures to achieve KPIs.
Facilitating development of two Researchers in Schools (RIS) PhD academics and an MBBS doctor through mentoring and supporting their research project work and establishing their early teaching career.
Establishing collaborative meetings with neighbouring Secondary and Primary schools to develop a fully comprehensive Scheme of Work and enhance the quality of modern education.
Advocating for a strong extracurricular structure by establishing a hydroponic & aquaponic farming laboratory, launching a conservation programme and driving STEM projects to prepare all of our learners with necessary skills to support them with further education and employment.
