Worked in Shah Aziz Shipping Lines L.L.C as Senior Accountant, Here my responsibilities includes following:

• Cash Reporting: Daily petty cash and main cash supervision and reconciliation and reporting to higher management
• Invoicing: Generation of invoices and ensuring that customers got invoices as per tariff of the company
• Recoveries from Customers: Recoveries and follow-up form import & export customers as per there agreed credit period
• Bank Reconciliation: weekly bank reconciliation and reporting management against any discrepancies found regarding PDC (postdated cheques),bounced cheques and un-presented cheques (if any).apart from this co-ordination with relationship Manager (RM) of the bank in relation to any extra charges deducted from bank from company bank account
• Payments to Suppliers: receiving invoices from slot /vessel operator, verifying invoices as per contract with the vessel operator, taking necessary approvals and ensuring timely payment thereof
• SOA (statement of Account): preparation of Monthly Statement of account for the principal company in relation to all transactions held between principal and agent during the month. Ensuring all transactions has been properly recorded and settled with the principal
• Assisting Internal Auditors: Assisting internal auditors during the course of interim audits conducted periodically and spontaneously
• Assisting management in Establishing Internal Controls: Since the time of joining, voluntarily developed accounting procedures and SOPs for smooth, efficient and effective financial reporting and safeguarding leakages for frauds and mishaps
• Execution of payment to Dubai trade (DPW): downloading invoices from Dubai trade web portal and proper verification of each charge levied on company, making payment schedule, taking necessary approvals and ensuring timely payment for the same
• Communication on emails with Head office, Customers and banks.

Worked as a registered Audited Trainee in Haider Shamsi & Co. and completed article ship from ICAP (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan) as registered audit trainee.

• Got trained in preparation and audit of financials as per International accounting standards (IAS)
• Conducted audit of several clients which includes public listed and SME’s
• Served as a tax supervisor which includes income tax return filing, computation and filing of withholding tax and advance tax returns of clients
