Developed Android application for Marriott Hotel ME&A region which provides location of the Marriot hotels on the map, distance from the nearby landmarks, and the facilities available at the hotel such as number of rooms, meeting space, dress code etc.
Designed entire interface of the application as per the client’s required specifications.
Implemented SQLite database so application can be used offline.
Followed Android Interface Design patterns (Fragments) to create Responsive UI for phones and tablets.
Optimized application to be memory efficient especially while displaying images (As a result of optimization memory usage was reduced from 160+ MB to 60-80 MB; tested on Google Nexus 5; Android 6.0).
Optimized application view hierarchy which reduced on screen draw time and improved overall app responsiveness.
Used OOP Design Patterns so that the code is maintainable and usable.
Completed fast track project within stipulated tight deadlines.
